This is the only song that I believe Chan when it comes to what this song is about 🤣 It's supposedly about his addiction to work. Red lights being the red light of the recording studio being live. You can especially see the symbolism in the scenes at the dining table. Chan and Hyunjin's movements are mirrored; even the table setting is mirrored. He's interacting with himself, his inability to slow down and relax. He can't ever just take a break from his work. He and Hyunjin are literally looking in the mirror at the end. The lines, "Until I fall asleep in the sun, even deeper...I'm going crazy now, out of control, I'm staying up all night again" remind me of Taylor Swift's lyric, "Midnights become my afternoons." Like, as creatives, they're still grinding into the early morning, deep in their craft, unable to put it down and rest. "No matter how hard I try to run away, set the mic up." He's just drawn to his love for the music. Even when he tries to make time for himself...well shit, forget it, just set the mic up. But I fully believe Chan knew what he was doing with the MV lmao And he tells US to touch grass 🤣😜
