April Update - Not a Chapter (Patreon)
Content
Hello Everyone,
It's that time again, time for your monthly update. I had wanted to thank you all for your help and support on the Kindle Unlimited release of Book 1, for every one of you that downloaded the book and added your rating, or gave it another reread. It really helped!
Let's start with some stats:
Words Released in March: 58k (Book 3) + 7k (Book 1 Bonus Chapters)
Words Written in March: 34k Book 3, +15k for Book 1, +~10k for Book 2, +5k for Book 4.
Of course, Book 1 Editing and the release had taken a lot of my focus, more than I thought it would. While I might have only added ~15k to book 1, that still included a ton of work to reread the whole thing several times and make edits.
Still, I was able to keep (mostly) on track. Hopefully, the launch for Book 2 will be a lot smoother for me, now that I understand everything a lot better.
I have a back-chapter to release tomorrow, which is the explicit scene of Berri/Ophelia(separate), that takes place between chapters 7 and 8.
I am probably making the Tanda finale the end of Book 3(with some padding at the end), and the next arc the beginning of Book 4. For you patreon/webnovel readers, this functionally matters little, other than that I decided to describe an extra battle/happening that I had glossed over originally. If I look at it this way, I'm already 60k+ words into Book 4.
I will probably add at least two more chapters worth of content to book 3 in sort of back chapters(not even including bonus chapters, as I want most of those to be about fun rather than world building or building on other characters in the cast).
I may try out a dual or tri-pov or such format for things happening around Highlands before release. Topics include things like Grayson convincing Kenwodi people to accept the reptile beastkin, Brock and his harem party fighting an incursion, and maybe an earlier scene with Fhesiah working on alchemy and things like that -- things that I didn't want to spend a whole chapter on, but would have been good for ~1000-1500 words or so, a third to a half a chapter.
What did you think of Book 3? It is a bit of an odd foray from previous books, but then again so was Book 2 from Book 1. The day-to-day chapters have significantly different theme.
Regarding the other project, I hadn't thought about it at all this last month, working hard towards the release of Book 1. I'll let you know if anything changes!
Once again, thanks for supporting me everyone. I hope you continue to enjoy Bonded Summoner.
