This flashback I don't mind watching at all!! Itachi says some powerful stuff in this scene. It's also very important to keep this scene alive in our minds for later ;)

The only thing I dislike about this flashback is the fact that it starts dropping huge hints about Itachi before it's truly intended to be revealed to the audience. The manga does not show this whatsoever.

I agree. The show has a propensity in doing this. They did this for Pain too. I have no idea why. It takes away the shock value.

These are episodes that I can watch on repeat. The action animation is at its best and stays this beautifully consistent in delivery through a BUNCH of insane battles to come. The "glow-ups" of Sasuke and Naruto are just now really kicking off and the depth of the plot are starting to come to the surface. Man I'm so hyped for this.

Yeah and it's also to get the viewer back into the full emotional state you want to be in as this fight and the story and emotion behind it unfold. The show can get out of hand with flashbacks, but this style I think is where it makes sense.

Yeah this is the debut of the show hitting its best strides and carrying it through all the epic moments to come.. Fitting when you have an antagonist like Madara as the plot focus.
