Mixed feelings around the loss of L. He certainly played a big role in Death Note being peak while he was 1v1ing Light in their battle of wits, though it's hard to imagine what direction the story would have gone if he had survived. The mere fact that Rem died upon killing Watari and L means that at the very least they would eventually catch and execute Misa. Given her proximity to Light I'm sure he would have lost the game too, but who knows. Misa has lost all memories of the Death Note and of Light being Kira by the way. She's not acting here. In case anyone was wondering the note Light wrote to the investigation team before removing the bugs reads "Kira wants to have the room checked for devices. I'm removing everything before he sees them" Still mighty suspicious though
