This ep basically wrapped up the end of the Bount arc and had the gang exit Soul Society again, essentially so that it’s a fresh restart for the canon story to resume, next episode should pick up as if it’s right after the soul society/rescue arc 👍

I think you see how much Byakuya does care about Rukia. He doesn’t want her disturbed. And how much he did love her sister. Even his zanpakuto Senbonzakura means “One Thousand Cherry Blossoms” because the small individual blades look like cherry blossom petals when they reflect light. Reminiscent of that scene with his sick wife where he points out the plum blossoms.

I actually enjoyed the Bount arc it definitely isn't awful. People just don't like it because its not cannon.

yes. notoriously bad. the whole psychic vampires arc is just dumb, and then what they did with uryu too and that weird almost love arc with rantao... its just crap.

Yea, I can understand why this episode is confusing. Probably could have watched the last like 2 mins and been better off, since it's pretty much just watching a whole episode mostly about the Bount arc. Not sure who conviced you all to start on this one

You should watch it.. don't always go by what people say and be a real fan and watch it for yourself.. you might like it.. and the fight scenes are good too.. it might not be part of the manga but its made to be part of the show...

If you guys speed through the bount arc it would have been fine to watch but its about 45 eps long and very dragged out, thats the reason why its a pretty bad filler arc, the arc itself would have been ok but with how long it is its better to get to the canon eps
