The difference between gohan and boruto is gohan has actually seen his father in action. He was there when his father fought Frieza and turned into a super saiyan for the first time, this made Gohan admire is dad like that, meanwhile baruto hasn’t seen what his dad can do he has only heard stories from people and another difference is gohan is older then baruto is, so he is more mature.

Yeah, Boruto's attitude towards Naruto is one of the major reasons why a lot of viewers talk shit about the Boruto series. Even now, like almost a decade later, they ignore all the character development and growth Boruto goes through as the series go on. They just find every little thing to shit on Boruto, both the series and the character.

You're not supposed to like Boruto's attitude towards Naruto. No one does. It's a negative character trait. Even in the manga Boruto introduces himself as a brat who sulks about his dad not paying enough attention to him. It's probably supposed to parallel Naruto in the way he would act out to get attention from his peers. Older Naruto episodes executed it a bit better through comedic pranks and mischief whereas Boruto is just whiney, judgmental and ignorant so it doesn't land very well with most of the audience. Early days though. It gets better
