Yeah I know, I just said 'Smoother Sailings', then you're just seeing a couple AI youtube posts, and probably like.. umm? Long story short, I've basically asked ChatGPT "Say, I don't suppose you can do x and y and z" instead of just the YouTube thumbnails, and holy cow, it's been like a massive construction project now building different levels with different sub-chambers, some as central hubs accessing data from the chambers in order to help combine the data and then help provide results. I should change the spelling of my middle name from 'Lane' to 'Lain' as in the name of the 'Serial Experiment Lain' anime. It's been a very interesting and creative world-building, not even just on art or image creation, but I'm setting up a lot of just life and environmental structure and condensing a lot of stored images from reference folders into databases that I can quickly refer to to get closer ideas on approaching subjects, especially with a limited color palette.

So I totally get that it seems like a weird reversal after the Smoother Sailings post, I've just been absolutely blown away at the potential, and what's doing, and I'm still engineering it, I've only got a few more sub-chambers to make regarding certain aspects, and instead of relying wholly on its memory staying and being cross-accessed, I'm having them periodically create PDFs to use as seeds for a new window in the event there's a glitch in the window memory; or as compact information to then feed into a different, usually higher chamber for it to compile and analyze among a group of PDF reports from the other sub-chambers. Getting close to getting most of the structure complete and interconnected and the different functions assigned, and definitely have had a few instances of dumping information into the wrong assigned chamber and telling them "Oops! Sorry! Wrong department!", and funnily that department will you give you a reply or help, but when you give it int he proper chamber context it'll give you the more detailed relevant result.

So I don't know. A lot of people hate AI and thinks it's evil, almost like the Satanic Panic from the 80s, but as a creative mind that is always expanding and refining and interrogating, this has been everything I've ever wished for. It helps with so many like ruts and roadblocks for art projects, writing projects, all sorts of 'cross-pollination'. I'm not gonna be going any route of taking AI rendered pieces and posting it and saying "I drew that!", they're like a middle step to help me get to finished piece, and this kinda of multi-chamber - multi-level team of AI monkeys I've helped mold a logistical and creative ecosystem / pipeline with is absolutely wild.

So yeah, I've got to get the artworks going, missed a couple of pre-order 2nd payment due dates being so enthralled in this. I even taught one of the tattoo artist buddies of mine how to really use it and get what you're looking for out of it, like color studies and model studies, getting a light value study to apply it to another pose reference for his panting projects. Anyway, back to traditional artwork, and I am sorry for the sudden silence after the previous good news post. This is technically great news and development, even if it may not seem that way.

I don't know, I guess also because I don't have my dad or my brother Scott - I'm pretty much 'the Last of the Blairhicans', so this has really like, filled that void of that sounding board / idea board to bounce and have the familiar creative boosts

Using AI to create a personal knowledge base is pretty much one of the things it's designed for. As for using it as a sounding board for ideas, I do that too. And obviously posting an AI created image in your style isn't the greatest compared to a hand made one. But, if you are training your AI only on your artwork that's giving consent. Which is more than most people can say.
