Hello (Producer) Person,

Here's your tutorial for February, in which Nik tries to create a lead / bass sound -using MPE- in an IMANU collab he's currently working on.

We hope you enjoy this one and if you want, let us know your thoughts below.

Thank you for the support!

David May

Loved this one, especially the bit at the end.

Boizard Martin

This is the second time i subscribe to this chanel just for ear this loop. I am just addiiiiiiicted to the melo

Ototo

Theres a bit in here where the bass starts to sound a lot like the bass/lead in Supersonic. I wonder was that using MPE at the time too? Hearing this work in progress it seems like a good guess to me haha

Cuuts

Thank you so much for the video! I've always wanted this, sort of intimate, insight into another artists 'creative zone' so to speak. Very validating and stimulating!

Sam Savid

is it just me or does the melody sound like ready or not?

Michael

I love the words said at the end, appreciate you letting us peak into a session where the music/approach does the talking. thanks!

Jahfed Wismans

Thanks a lot with this very inspiring tutorial (again)! Also got me interested in for instance tutorial about your approach how to use samples as a theme (vocal or otherwise) to create the vibe of a track.

Luke Thompson

I would love to see you film the next steps on this :) Bring back that MPE downward pitch bend!!!

Johann

that was freaking epic man!!!!! please please do more vids like this, minimal talk (though i do like those ones too) and just music .....its so awesome watching you work man !! i cant wait for this track to come out!!

steko

after checking the „MPE enabled by default“ setting in the globals tab, you need to hit the save(disk) icon, next to the preferences title. The next time you load up serum MPE should be enabled.

Domba

This is such an amazing insight. Thank you Nik!

FERVL

amazing video, really felt like being in there with you, thank you very much for sharing. I cant imagine you feeling insecure, you really are the man.

BERRIX

Very cool & interesting stuff! Looking forward to seeing what's next Would love to check out a breakdown on Anomaly or anything from the Dead Limit EP with The Upbeats

Veil.Combine

Can we get Block Control VIP for christmas this year pls

Kieran Unsworth

Great tut Nick, not finished yet but before i forget to ask, can you do MPE in Cubase? Cheers

Johann

can you guys do a breakdown of your remix of nothing matters? PS. Are those basses (in nothing matters) made in Zebra?

charlie robinson

I love the honesty at the start of the track where your explaining what your imagining and is inspiring you to make the track , just goes to show how much different feeling goes in to making tracks,

charlie robinson

everytime i watch one of these , you kinda forget its not in your daw- every now and then you get the urge switch to the daw and start laying down some ideas over the top!

charlie robinson

its crazy how much things have changed , 10 years ago the best insite you might get into this sort of stuff was a really badly over the shoulder shot at procucers screen for 30 mins just describing generic stuff, probably somewhat a result of covid and venues shutting but in 2022 you can get hours long videos noisia making tracks, good times

Malte Beyer

exceptional tutorial - I really like the focused in production video format! great work and insight!
