Hello (Producing) Person,

This month, Nik dives into the various origins of a project started 16(!) years ago, that eventually became 'Wordless' with Halogenix. Featured on the last Noisia album 'Closer'.

Enjoy and let us know your thoughts!

ps. Which other artists would you like to see us hosting a tutorial?

I was sat in the garden one night last year just listening to the album from start to finish. This track really stood out, it was so delicate and understated, but so powerful at the same time. It's great to hear about the labour that went into it over all those years, and how such a seemingly simple song created such a puzzle. The care that went into it really shines through, thankyou for sharing it.

Amon Tobin would be insane!

not that i didn't enjoy the other brilliant music on closer, but this track is the one that really plucked a string in my heart upon first and subsequent listens. thanks for breaking down the creative side of this! big up

One of my favorites from the album! Thanks

I would love to have Zonderling and/or Body Ocean on some future tutorials

Wordless is the track that sticks out to me most from Closer. It's so hauntingly beautiful and mysterious and that quirk in Martijn's EP totally sells the whole song. Perfect for night drives or chilling with a beer.

Hey Nik, another great tutorial thank you! I would love to see an in depth tutorial on mixing from you, looking at group processing, side chain setup -grouping/ routing and how much etc. thanks again

Definitely would love a mix tutorial! I love Wordless, it's so beautiful. Also when's that Joker Sleepnet collab getting released? Need more Joker this year :)
