I may still widen the eyes on the cat here in frame 2. This was drawn and inked on bristol board, with minimal non-digital coloring. I can’t tell if it’s evident that the Dad did this on purpose (and that he’s playing dumb at the end). Hopefully it works either way.

Well done. I think the father's actions come off intentional.

Doctor Islands

Dad's sly smile at the end effectively communicates that it was intentional, to me at least. Great art and joke as always!

Zack Braun

You should draw this exact same comic, but from the cat's perspective

As the dad of a 7-year-old who is now regularly beating me, this gives me great joy. Now we just need to get a cat.

I got it with the expression in the third frame, so I don’t know if a change is really needed…but if you want to make intentionality more obvious, maybe adjust the dad’s facial expression in frame 2?

Funny! It prob needs a more puckish look on Dad’s face or a more awkward angle for his left hand. It wasn’t obv to me he did it purposefully.

> I can’t tell if it’s evident that the Dad did this on purpose (and that he’s playing dumb at the end). Oh yeah, it's very obvious to me that the sneaky bastard meant to do that. I'm not sure if it was the gleeful smile in the final panel or the very fake "hmm I'm thinking" face in the second panel, but I had no doubt by the time I got to your text.

I immediately assumed the dad did it on purpose, but after the question you posed, I began to wonder if I only assumed that because I already know that the adults in your comics tend to be up to no good most of the time. If you drew eyes on the dad, he could be doing some side-eye towards the window in the second panel. Otherwise, I got nothing.
