I'll be announcing my next election guide tomorrow, but I wanted to let Patreon donors know first.

I have written the first part of my federal election guide for the next election, due in 2028.

It's a long way out from that election, but I know it's always the jurisdiction of most interest to readers.

The guide features profiles of the eight Senate contests and 102 House of Representatives seats. I've profiled seats in states and territories that are not undergoing redistributions. The scale of redistributions during this term is relatively minor, not affecting NSW, Victoria, Western Australia or the Northern Territory.

Of course the elephant in the room is that the Parliament may be expanded in this term. If this happens, it will trigger redistributions in every mainland state. With the ACT and Tasmania already redrawing their maps, only the NT would be left untouched. If that happens, I will need to start the guide from scratch. But there remains a good chance they won't expand the parliament, and I know people will find it interesting to read these guides.

The whole guide is available for $8 Patreon donors (or $5 donors who have been grandfathered in). I've also published guides for South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. So there are no elections left which I can write guides for. The next election in every other state and territory will require redistributions that are not yet completed.

I hope people find this guide useful and interesting.

Hi I’m a newbie member to Tally Room. Is the election guide to our federal electorate of Cook now available? Thanks!

How do we access the individual seat profiles? I am interested in NSW as well as fed.

I did not receive the promised report. Glitch?

Hi Colleen, the guides are all linked to from my website, from the top menu or the calendar in the top right. If you click through to an individual seat with a paywall, and click "connect with Patreon", it will link your Patreon to the website. Then it should work.
