Keeping your old price for the Tally Room (Patreon)

As of today I've increased the price for new Tally Room members from $8 or $10. The short story is that I was under the impression that Patreon was now taking GST in addition to $8 for donors, but that turns out to be wrong. So to cover the cost of GST and general price rises, the price has gone up.

That doesn't mean it needs to go up for you, although I'd appreciate it if anyone wishes to start paying the new price. If you keep donating, you will be able to keep your old price as long as you wish.

I have also introduced a new annual membership for $96 a year, which is actually $8 per month on average.

For most of the benefits of the Tally Room, this change will be smooth, with entitlements continuing. Unfortunately the Tally Room paywall doesn't work quite so smoothly. So I will be manually granting $10 access to all grandfathered donors. If you sign in to Patreon through my website, it will immediately ask you to upgrade your donation to $10. You do not need to do this. Simply refresh my website and you should be in. If you have problems, please get in touch. If you upgrade but did not intend to upgrade, please get in touch and we can clean it up.

If you have missed the announcement on my website this morning, I have now published guides to the federal election for the 18 federal seats in South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT. So please go check them out and let me know if you have any problems.
