Update for donors (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all of your recent donations. In the lead up to the Victorian state election my numbers of donors has reached a record high. I just wanted to quickly update everyone on where things are at now.

I unlocked my Victorian election guide last weekend, but the NSW guide will stay behind a paywall until some time in February.

I have a long list of blog posts about the Victorian election which should fill up the next four weeks and then plan to have some thorough coverage of the results.

I've also got five podcasts booked in for the election - three before and two after.

So there's a lot to watch!

Once the Victorian election is finished, I'll be switching focus to NSW and I also have a few bits of federal-related data work. I'd like to tweak my redistribution calculation method for federal elections if I get a chance before federal redistributions including in New South Wales commence next year.

Following the NSW election there'll be a long break before any more elections but there'll be plenty to get on with - guides for elections due in 2024, redistributions, maybe some analysis of the Voice referendum. I'm also discussing doing some podcast episodes with various overseas political scientists whose work I've been reading. A long break between elections creates some potential to do some different work!
