Well glad someone realized he wasn’t lying

Ironwood is acting sane and smart, a wild character deviation that I wholly approve of!

Denn Mael

Getting Ichigo fighting against his Inner Hollow vibes from Jaune struggling against his chosen heritage. On the other hand, this might be a great oppurtunity for Yang and Blake to get in with Jaune and help him confront his problems for once.

Ramon Diaz

Seems like Ironwood knows that the brother gods were dragons, and is making the same connections as Ozpin.

..... ' Proceeds to go to YouTube and listen to the Making Bacon Pancakes x New York Mash Up for the following 10 min. '

How would Winter know about this? She was gone, which wasn't accidental on Ironwood's part.

to be fair he was a peace time appointment that suddenly got thrown into ALL of the shit and very much could not cope with the stress and then got stuck in the Obito/Anakin loop of I've done something seriously fucked up and I cannot be wrong now or I'm fucked

Alice

Yes, I get that he is actually a nuanced character in RWBY I just don't like him and I kinda gave up on the later seasons of RWBY because of the whole emphasis on bad things are happening because good people can be compromised, lazy, or just do REALLY dumb things for short sighted views.

Jollymerr

fair, the writing went to shit when the didn't have montys' snippets, actually the writing was always …not great, but it didn't have the run time to show, so montys' stuff really stole the show

Alice

Actually thank you for your comment it finally clicked for me why I LOVE Early RWBY and can't watch the later seasons. It starts as a show about 4 teenage girls attending magic battle college with over the top fights, then gradually shifts into a grimdark political shadow war where everything always goes wrong because reasons, I get that I'm late to realizing that but ya never really clicked for me.

So the good news is that Ironwood is firmly in the "support" faction now and should probably be counted as a firm ally. Bad news is that the MC's secret is getting out much sooner than expected. I find it extra amusing, and very well done, that in this specific fic there is gigantic issues regarding misinformation with every single player on the narrative. The MC, and the "good guys" by extension, are still progressing thinking their ultimate enemy is Salem, which is not true at all, while the opposition is also going to take all kinds of wrong assumptions from learning about what Jaune's Dragon form. And that is just from this latest part while a whole host of other misunderstandings are still going strong...

Great chapter! Second half of comment deleted in edit because I realised it was a spoiler lol
