Guns powered by societal blood sacrifices is a new one and very interesting. I'm worried about how it would scale though, even outside the desert of Pitover. Currently this seems local to the pirate town so use would be spread out in both space and time as they fight leviathans at sea or settle arguments with just a few shots. What happens if you equip a military with this? Hundreds of soldiers shooting hundreds of bullets over the course of a few hours all at the same battlefield. Do you just get an infestation of powder monkeys or do you summon Power Kong?

I liked the chapter, but I had to skip the sex rant about a third in.

Okay, now the bigaton side of my brain wants to see what would happen when lots of that pirate powder goes off on a ship being teleported by the hextech.

I for one rather appreciated it. Intimacy in the west and I assume other places, is very much misunderstood. I had to learn some very painful lessons as a young man in part because I had no idea about the science behind a lot of the reasons relationships are structured as they are. Personally now I believe that poly relationships are largely BS. But that I suppose is a whole other conversation.

Alice

I personally believe in monogamy, but my best friends are happily committed open poly, I believe it can work as long as everyone is adults and good at communicating. All that said I'm glad people enjoyed the relationship talk Lee is good at having a vast amount of varied life experience

As is true with most things, the more complicated something is, the harder it is to do it right, but that by no means it's impossible to make work. Going in blind and relying on emotions, however, is a recipe for disaster after a certain threshold is crossed. It's kind of like how riding a horse is pretty easy, driving a car is a little more complex, but if you try and fly a plane by vibes, feel, and eyeing it alone, you're probably going to crash and burn, though not necessarily. That said, I know everything I write isn't for everyone, and if you want to skim, or even skip over it when I get a bit into the weeds on something, I'm not offended at all.

I am also in favor of your characters perspective being interesting. The best part being is he is not wrong. There is a reason why in ancient times when a tribe rocked up to a village and killed all the men and boys and took the women as brides if not whores, the women did not resist to the death. For as much as we have advanced in technology and our understanding of the world, we as humans have not changed. This same scenario still happens very commonly in places like Africa. We like to think in very liberal ways, that the things we do don't affect us. But just like our Jaycifer says, the more men a woman sleeps with the less she cares about each one. Women often think about those first few if not the first boyfriend she slept with as the best she ever had, because that is the one that triggered the feel good chemicals in her brain the most. Quite frankly if any man in the west wants to get married and have a family, they need to find a virgin. She may still divorce him because we live in a degenerate society that pushes women to be sluts, but it is still the best chance he has short of going to another county and finding a virgin there and staying there.

I also enjoy when you take shots at societal norms that probably fucked you over through your characters. Because you are always prolific as fuck when you do it; digging down into the nitty gritty of it. Kudos
