Is it wrong that I was hoping that you would accidentally another chapter?

Templar9999

What is next in the cycle?

It's understandable, but I need to keep working on my main stuff. It is, after all, what most of you are here for, even if a lot of you like these various stories.

“… Tomorrow, I’m taking the ring and sticking them at the back of our storeroom,” Integra announced. “Perfectly understandable,” Lee nodded, without missing a beat. “Want some help?” “Can you even lift the boxes without the ring?” she questioned. “I’ll find out tomorrow!” he grinned, causing her to shake her head. ==================== ...isn't it a Bracelet of Strength Up? ==================== From Part Seven on QQ: Slipping my device into my pocket, I popped the lacquered container open, Integra moving to stand next to me, revealing a ring, a necklace, and a bracelet. Reaching in, the noblewoman took the ring, and looked it over, squinting, as her eyes glowed, "This is a ring of… Magic Up, Intermediate. It will-" "Artificially increase the wearer's reserve," I continued, and, as the woman turned a confused look my way, I pointed to the inside of the lid, where what the magical items were, and what they did, was written. "Oh, that would do it," she replied, a little embarrassed. "It's good to know my read was correct." "Good check," I agreed, smiling, and reading off the others. "Necklace gives 'Fire Resistance, Intermediate, whatever that means, and the bracelet is Strength Boost, Intermediate." Frowning, I grabbed the bracelet, donning it, the magic item easy to slip on, resizing itself to fit perfectly, like a secure watch. Taking a couple steps over, I went to lift the cart, and… yeah, I could, though not easily, and physics was still a thing. ==================== Yeah, the ring is Magic Up, Bracelet is Strength Up. Pretty sure you did that mix up in the last couple chapters too.

Well, I guess we will see how popular the idea of you writing A Song of Ice and Fire stories is by how quickly the next chapter gets funded, as I doubt you can muck out the mire Martin created in just a couple of parts without going for the Heraclius method of diverting a river.

Just a thought but in this section from Integra, wouldn't it be potentially appropriate for her to reference God as a source of strength? Unless there is less emphasis on it in her particular denomination. I am not well versed in Protestant(?) beliefs but it was a thought that occurred and I figured I'd say something. Which was absurd. People were weak, flawed, and inherently sinful, and it was only through ruthless determination, unyielding discipline, and iron will that they rose above such things. It was why so many fell to Midians, and needed to be protected, unable to do so themselves. I look forward to more from this story! And to see what Nepo-Spyke will be like in the next Waifu-lution! And LWD! You write too many great stories I want (most of) them all! I cannot latch onto MSP, I don't know why, I've tried about 5 times.

They'll probably be there for two kommissions, given it's a full month, and then they'll leave, with the world either UnDoomed, or not.

The way I see it, as a Protestant, to Integra God is there, but God will not hold your hand for you, the way that Integra believes the Catholics operate. To her, God made man in his image, and are given gifts by him, but it is up to the individual to use those gifts correctly. Integra might say that God is the Father, not the Master, and thus strength is not gained through Thoughtless Obedience, thus it is up to the each person to step up and live rightly, and in doing so follow his plan, but God would also allow, and account, for people to fail, if they wished, because Free Will exists, and thus strength is not faith-based, for if it were the forces of evil would be weak. Remember, you have to square the circle of 'Believes wholly in the Protestant God' and 'Best Friend/Right Hand is the King of Vampires'.

Ah, OK. Thanks!

That would depend entirely on what is going to Doom the setting, because since it's such a a political morass of infighting, anything could tip the balance. Quite frankly, the best way to treat that setting is to try and get as many people out as possible and point out a long winter means the Wildlings will be driven south and the Wall needs to be reinforced to face an 'army' of Wildlings which will all seek to skip the wall and start raiding their way down to a warmer climate.

G.R.R.M. has got some... ideas about medieval societies, that don't match up to history at all (his over-reliance on Calvary in warfare being one of the less contentious ones, ignoring the fact that Shock Troops are what the Romans be The Romans), and his setting is also a High Magic one masquerading as a Low Magic one, something that Skycifer, only being passibly familiar with the series as he is, has gotten wrong. The general plan for the Jump is in place, but, if it gets written or not is entirely dependent on if it get Kommissioned or not, because I have too many ideas, and not enough time to write them in.
