At this point, glassing the silos is the correct decision. That these things seem to behave like actual parasites means he should have time to rig controlled detonation, rather than orbital bombardment. But given that this is a story, the full sized tyranny offshoots are gonna wake up. What was the load out on Amelia's ship? Plasma weaponry would probably be most effective. Less likelihood of spreading spores than macro cannon fire.
