Cyclops has the unfortunate role of being team leader when the team is entirely made of cool, rules breaking loose cannons. He was basically tailor made to always have things go wrong, but was SUPPOSED to be showing how you could go outside the box and find innovative new solutions to issues. But couplingthe fact they don't always work or will be found without communication from below mixed with writers not getting what he's supposed to do, he ends up coming across as an ass more often than not. I do have some hopes that with Lee pushing back against him, and giving him tools and framework to help, he might grow and have character development along what his original character archetype was supposed to be, instead of what he tend to get.
