I met Mick Foley when I was 10yrs old when he was doing his Cactus Jack gimmick. I had broken my leg and was on crutches. Me and a friend were wondering around the building where the IWA show was happening at and saw him sitting in a chair at the end of the hallway. Both of us almost pissed ourselves cuz we didn’t know if we were in trouble or what and I couldn’t run away anyway . He saw us and waived us over. Reluctantly we went up to him and to our surprise, was unbelievably kind to us. He asked me about my leg, signed our programs and had some of the other guys sign it too. We left and went back to our seats in shock, mainly cuz we thought he was going to kill us and was so nice to us. That may have been the moment when I realized that wrestling was fake.
