Used to work dispatch for a roadside, can confirm that there are a lot of hicks who very audibly want to fuck their trucks

Carrie McMillin

Talking about music. Paula Abdul, Milli Vanilli and The Judds.

Joseph Kubal

I forgot that you guys introduced me to Van Canto..... that changed my life..... not sure if for the better.

Valerie Vaile

My cringey kid music is The Dresden Dolls. I was OBSESSED all throughout my teens and college. I do have a tattoo. Here’s the thing though, is I’ll listen back, and see that it’s cringey, but I still love it. I just don’t want anyone to ask about my very prominent tattoo. 😂

Carbon

Aww man, I loved the Dresden Dolls! I -STILL- love Amanda Palmer. Also, I still love NIN. Aaaaaand the Talking Heads. That video was brilliant!

Bad Medicine

So, I learned from a Welsh friend today that, outside of the United States and its colonies, the rapture isn't really a thing. It's not really even in the Bible, it's apparently an 18th century heresy, making our church leaders who teach it and the people who believe it heretics. It sure is a great tool for exploiting vulnerable people for money, and whipping them into a frenzy of bloodlust, though!

Reynold Hall

"Disco Duck"? I am so ashamed...and so old

Andrew Barton

Korn. It freaked out all of the 'straight laced' country ass classmates I grew up with, but listening to it now I don't understand how I wasted so much of my time with it. I'll still throw on some Dresden Dolls from time to time though.

Yaro Kasear

I am surprised you guys didn't cover Alex Jones trying to get Alexa to confess to working for the CIA.

Patrick Carr

That guy didn’t see Donald Trumps “spirit in heaven, he saw Donald Trumps “spurt.” Which makes more sense, when you think about it.

Viridian-Flow

Do you think Alex Jones has been watching that Stephen Speilburg movie AI on Netflix and wants to get "Flesh Fairs" started up? Like he thinks those sex dolls will scream for their life while hillbillies throw beer cans at them?

vex

Mindless self indulgence from my high school days.

Sophie the Nekomancer

In terms of cringey-music from school days that is thankfully not permanently represented on my body, definitely From First to Last..... Oof.

Glenno

Skid Row. ..,yep

Tutu Lou

Being one of the five people still alive older than Cecil, I have to say my musical choices in my youth were poor at best. My worst offence would be The Carpenters (I blame dinner music at family gatherings).

VermanShane

Limp Bizkit, I owned a Limp Bizkit CD.

Pamela Brown-Seely

Dude, you think you are old, but now you are even older than you ever were before. Try the Bay City Rollers. Do you even know who they are?

Likewise. The shame made me the fractional person I am today.

Tyler

I can't say I'm a huge fan, but I still listen to NIN frequently--particularly the Downward Spiral and Fragile albums, but a handful of recent tracks, too--but my reason for doing so is different now. I really got into music production, audio engineering, and sound design over the last few years, and I also have a particularly large boner for any artist that can create a hellish sound that human ears have never been exposed to and somehow fit that neatly into a mix. So, trying to figure out how these soundscapes were created led to me learning more about music theory and experiment with software and later analog syths (♥). Then something odd happened. When you're experimenting with 'creative' distortion, you're kind of getting a primer on wave mechanics. But you can hear and feel it. The Downward Spiral has some intense, unsettling soundscapes that I still can't quite tease apart, and some truly pants-shitting dynamic shifts. Still, everything fits together. Everything has its place in the mix... Marvelous.
