One thing that gives me hope Trump will see some consequences is that the intelligence community is pissed. Yes, law enforcement in general is pretty right wing, but the intelligence community is very small. Agents have probably died to get this information, and some of them have probably been at risk because Trump has mishandled it. They're personally affected which might be enough to overcome their general tendency toward conservatism.

I would love to have our allies publicly float the idea that they are considering trying Citizen Trump for potential spy activities, just to see him shit his pants on TV.

We can feed everybody

Way number 4 for Trump is that he does every one a favor and passes in his sleep.

I’m still sus that he was selling them but it seems like he probably just kept them for clout but it’s definitely not bc he really gave a shit about security aspects of it. Remember this motherfucker had to have his national security briefings printed w like red fire trucks and bright colorful blocks w ABCs on them to get him to pay attention to them.

The difference is that Obama asked before hand, Biden preemptively double checked decades of government documents, and when NARA asked, Trump lied. All he had to do was tell the truth. Tell the truth and I bet the Archivist says "shit, better not make a deal about this and just take the boxes back."
