Another concept sprite.  Had a lot of fun brain storming ways this obese tiger could fight and what we could do with her.  The weight gain mechanic idea still scares me, I just fill that would be too hard to do to have multiple sets of animations for different stages of weight may be too tough.  So lets just draw her at the biggest to see what I can do.

Whoa holy crap she looks fantastic :0

Narzain

Maybe have the weight gain in her intro animation to show the ability? Or perhaps have it in a super move (like Twiggi with her lipomancy)?

That outfit and pose is AMAZING, kaze. Gives off a sense of her looming over an opponent

Kazukio

I really like her appearance thus far, the huge bow is kind of comical to me, but I don't question your direction. ^^ If timing the weight gain to supers would be hard then I suppose animating a weight gain sequence for her intro and using her max size as the base would work just as fine.

That sounds very much doable unlike the weight gain mechanic. I was planning.

OmegaTheGuy

Oooo, I definitely second what Narzain suggested! You could have her intro be her growing big, and then she’s just that big for all her normal moves :D Sure you could have some fun with her supers, but obviously her being at one size will make animating all her standard idles and moves way easier than a bunch of weight shifting stuff ^^

I was going for excessive size on the bow since she's rich, vain and fat. So indulgence is something she does quite often. I thought if she likes the bow she probably would want everyone to see it and notice it.

A weight gaining mechanic seems like a lot of work

Rabadon

Saw this and I really like the idea. I think there are a few characters that run this type of mechanic so I hope the suggestion makes things easier on you. What you could do is have different sets of moves for different stages of weight that only unlock after reaching that weight. Saves you time from redrawing the same moves for different weights unless you wanted to. Looking forward to getting lost in those folds! Lol

AirPumper

Could always make her a vore character similar to Lardo and then you would only have to worry about 1 maybe 2 separate animations?

I think having her grow to her max size in her intro would be the best thing or in her supers

Agree on vore but she could have like butlers feeding her or something supposing she's rich.

Like few frame assist like moves that make a maid/butler run across the screen and leave like a cake or chicken by her to gain the weight meter/gauge? Would be a fun little mechanic akin to twiggi somewhat.

Frost Metsu

How about make her like twiggy but you do it as a bar based super. So kind of like a transform mechanic based on meter so if you invest in using her full meter she gets max size and can have moves with more effects at max.
