More 1-Hour Doodles! These are way too much fun. I think I'm getting a bit better at prioritizing details so I can get something that looks sort of finished within the time limit.

I say "WIP" because while these five are "done," I plan to do another five before posting the new batch to the lower tiers.

A version of the one on the right that includes an extra appendage can be found here. I also did an extra one of Somi (woman on the bottom left) but scrapped it because I didn't like it as much as the others.

The extra Jeon Somi doodle is really good, any reason you scrapped it? Also, would you be willing to ever stream these sessions or post versions with any supporting line work? I am trying to get back into drawing stylized portraits and it would be cool to see how you convert real people to your style.

Thanks! I'm not completely sure why I feel this way about the scrapped Somi, but it doesn't really look like her to me and just comes off as too plain. Maybe I could try recording one of these and post a timelapse. I compulsively flip the canvas and zoom in and out while I'm drawing so it would probably be nauseating to watch, but you could at least kind of see what I do. There isn't really any secret sauce though. I just eyeball it based on the refs. I think it helps to try and focus in on specific traits that make the person look like that person and not someone else, if that makes sense. Nayeon for example has very distinctive lips. I actually have an earlier scrap of her here: https://www.jam-orbital.art/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/1hr-nayeon-scrap.png I didn't like how that one was shaping up overall, but you can kind of see what I was going for with the face.

Love the extra appendage for us extra appendage enjoyers out there :^) These are always so nice to see. Really love the expression on that Somi. I will patiently wait for the next five and be very eager to see them when they're done!

I do, but I barely look at it and only use it to talk to close friends. I can make a suggestion thread on here if I need help coming up with ideas. Appreciate the enthusiasm though.
