Did a whole bunch of quick-n-dirty variants based on your suggestions, as promised. I'm a bit overwhelmed -- I wasn't expecting such an enthusiastic response! Thank you for that. ❤️

Because commenters all gave detailed descriptions of multi-layer gags, I decided to just cherry-pick a bunch of different bits I liked rather than draw each individual layer. If there's something in particular from your comment that you really wanted to see and it's not there, let me know and I'll add it in ASAP.
