Patreon:

"A simpler way to charge patrons

Subscription billing lets you charge new patrons monthly on the same date they joined. This is how patrons already expect to pay, and they’ll no longer be charged twice in their first month when they join after the 1st."

Now subscribers will not be charged double when they subscribe at the end of the month have not read my notice about charged:).

Those who have already subscribed to the page will be charged as always on the 1st.

I decided to notify everyone so that everyone would be aware of this change on my page.

Well, a bonus quick picture. Сan't just put up a post without vulgarity. :)

Hello, I do not understand how we can be charged twice in the month. If you subscribe in the month, you should not pay twice right?

I think it has to do with timing on when you subscribe.. example; just say you subscribe in the middle of a month, now typically you shouldn't be charged again until the middle of the following month but patreon charges you again at the start of the month thus charging you 2 times before a month has fully past....

Ok. indeed, if I subscribe in the middle of the month, I can take advantage of the current month and if I understood correctly, it is true that Patreon bills me at the beginning of the following month on the first day instead of billing me in the middle of the month next. I thought it was advantageous for the creators because he could receive the money at the beginning of each month. Now the creator will only receive his money based on the date the person subscribes.

Yeah before that, there was a payment system that implied payment from the 1st of each month. What I wrote about on the welcome page. And for example, people who signed up on the 27th were charged as if for the whole month. And when the 1st of the next month came, they were charged again. That is, after 3-4 days. It created a lot of problems. When people subscribe on the 29th without reading my notice, and of course they started writing to me in this situation. And I started to solve their problem with refund. )
