Bruh that's crazy. I'm realizing that so many of these old shows I watched as a kid just predicted the future we're in rn. Though, I suggest you give Kagura Bachi a second chance. It's the only Jump manga I've liked in the last 10 years. The main characters motivation is the most altruistic motivation of any Jump protagonist. His goal is to simply protect the weak because it's the right thing to do. His father lived as a righteous man and his goal is to follow in his footsteps and live in righteousness. It's the only Jump manga to actually teach righteousness in a sincere way. There's no demon transformations or anything like that, it's actually genuinely about being a cool hero and doing it for the sake of others.

Kagura Bachi is the only Jump manga that doesn't promote "humanism" the mc literally fights for the sake of others because it's the right thing to do. He inherited the values of righteousness from his father. I feel like you'd like it because it's similar to us. We've inherited the values of righteousness from our father in heaven, who died for us. And we're working to do his will.

Hmm, I guess dislike the execution of it then. The character is super stiff and bland. I can relate to his goals but not to him of how he forges ahead. Plus he's too quick kill others without knowing what got them working for the bad guys.
