Since my main server is heavily loaded with running 5 FT instances and OBS, I created a second server that runs Docker and Docker Compose and trades the other high backtest results trading strategies. Including the original MacheteV8b on an adjusted Docker image (v2023.7) with additional libraries.

It's all in One package that includes unaltered configs (except for the secret keys) so everyone should be able to set up their Docker machine exactly like my machine.

I hope this helps people to set up their machine like I stream on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTyBiYFhWAA

Hi to the Netherlands, is there a download file available?

Hi theire fellow dutch long time fan of your work. Im technical cloud engineer. If you need some help or thougts on docker or maby make use of github actions to automaten some parts in safe and secure way that will help manage your server/ containers. Im willing to offer my help for free if you need some examples feel free to reach out.

hello from HK, I'm curious that how to make a comparsion chart of those strategy with freqtrade

Dutch Algotrading

Hi thanks for the helping hand. At the moment I only do 'light weight' Docker stuff. Lately a lot with Portainer - although it's not that powerfull when it comes to creating custom docker containers. I'll keep your offer in the back of my head for future possibilities :-)

Dutch Algotrading

Ah that. I have a complete post that explains how my method to compare strategies work. The results of all backtests are imported into a database and then I compare these with each other and show the results in a graph. One of the exports of this database is also the total scoring of all these algo's so that I can compare them with each other. Hope this helps

Hi, Interesting!! Do you know if there is a technical possibility to simulate a dry-run with downloaded data like live-streaming. The idea is to avoid all biais of backtesting simulation and save time because we will run faster (I hope) than a real dry-run?

CC chan

lol, hope you can share this code, the result from my test it's quite different as my pairs is choose from bybit, it's still lost for me when real trading instead of paper trade

Dutch Algotrading

A method what I can suggest is that of machine learning and training. Where you cut up your backtest data in multiple sections. Training dataset, testing dataset and then backtest set (or something like that - I'm now doing this from the top of my head). But nothing beats forward tests in current market conditions though.

Do you have a video of how you are using portainer (link/name of vid)? Also any vids on how you use multiple dockers on same machine? (I am Docker user for years but am looking for your flow... add/duplicate/add to frequi, portainer etc)

Dutch Algotrading

No I do not have a Portainer vid. I beleive that the video on the Docker installation should be self explanatory. For more bots you only have to repeat the process (using docker-compose). ALso all the files I left in the products page for recreating the forward testing server contain multiple docker compose files so it shouldnt be hard to do with those files and a little bit of interenet research.

Hi Nicolas, maybe its better to directly contact the developers of Freqtrade. I'm not part of their development team nor affiliated. Just an 'advanced' user. Btw. it would give those great guys a opportunity too. But thanks for your question though.
