Hello My dear Patreons,

Through this post I want to provide you the files that belong to my latest Youtube video and blog post about the ATEEZ trading strategy.

This time I have something special in mind that is a little bit  different from what you saw until this moment from a guy that presents  tech stuf and crypto trading bots. That is to create a series of  trading strategies that are inspired by the names of famous K-pop groups  and artists. I know that it sound a little bit weird and hard to  imagine but hear me out about this challenge.

Since a trading algorithm is a set of well thought of sophisticated  rules and conditions where you decide to enter or exit the market, and  since there are countless rules and conditions you can think of, I  thought it would be funny to start of with the name of a K-pop band or  artist and use that as a starting point for determining the indicators  or other rules for entering and exiting a trade. The markets aren't  logical, so why should I be...?

Anyway,

The second question you then might have is: "Why the heck K-pop".  Whell that has a long story to it. But to keep it short, my daughter is a  huge K-pop fan and since I went to an Ateez concert with her I became  an Atiny as well. K-Pop also struck a nerve to me as well and I am now  regularly listening to it. So in honour of that event I am starting of  this fun challenges with a trading strategy based on indicators based on  this group. It could have also been trading strategies that are based on the names  of Grunge bands like Nirvana, Foo fighters, Pearl Jam or other bands,  and maybe I will do these in the future. But for now it's K-pop.

Who said you cannot have fun when analyzing data and trading. Right..?

Running the Ateez on 4h on Bybit in paper does it quite good, but I get these errors didn't found the cause yet: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/ron/freqtrade/freqtrade/strategy/strategy_wrapper.py", line 27, in wrapper return f(*args, **kwargs) File "/home/ron/freqtrade/freqtrade/strategy/interface.py", line 855, in _analyze_ticker_internal dataframe = self.analyze_ticker(dataframe, metadata) File "/home/ron/freqtrade/freqtrade/strategy/interface.py", line 833, in analyze_ticker dataframe = self.advise_indicators(dataframe, metadata) File "/home/ron/freqtrade/freqtrade/strategy/interface.py", line 1341, in advise_indicators return self.populate_indicators(dataframe, metadata) File "/home/ron/freqtrade/user_data/strategies/ATEEZ.py", line 139, in populate_indicators dataframe['tsi'] = pta.tsi(close = dataframe['close'], fast = fa, slow = sl, signal = si)[f'TSI_{fa}_{sl}_{si}'] TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable 2023-05-25 17:12:09,548 - freqtrade.strategy.interface - WARNING - Unable to analyze candle (OHLCV) data for pair ORDI/USDT:USDT: 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable Adding the Trailing Stoploss code from Perkmeister and disabling the exit sigals to see what that brings...

The error had to do with newer coins, so not able to get all 100 4h candles for ema100 = 16.8 days, so added '{"method": "AgeFilter", "min_days_listed": 17},' to config

Ron Klinkien

Also I think you need to add 'conditions = []' before the short entry and exit conditions.appends, otherwise you add them to the long conditions and thus never match. But even with those I cannot find any short signals yet, could be the market trend of course.

Ron Klinkien

Talking about ATEEZ_f_h.py btw with 4h timeframe instead of 1d

Ron Klinkien

There is another typo in the short entry conditions of ATEEZ_f_h.py: '& (dataframe["volume"] < 0) # Guard' should be '& (dataframe["volume"] > 0) # Guard' ofc.

Dutch Algotrading

Thanks for letting us know about the typo! The initial timeframe of the strategy was 1day and I did not change these values.

It certainly can be a new idea. However Alts and BTC do not really correlate all the time. That's why we have alt season ;-) So another pair should be used here (maybe ETH...). Thanks for the input though. I will certainly take this into consideration in a future strategy development.

I was able to convert this into a telegram bot for entry & exit alerts today thank you for all your work 😌
