I’m stuck in bed sick and seeing this was the only time I’ve smiled today. 💜

The Mailman

As an ohioan im ashamed of Vance and Jordan...but that food.....abomination unto god....its not hard to find good pizza in ohio

L_Sloan

The pizza discourse is real. If anybody ever says, “Let’s get a pizza from Casey’s!” do. not. do. it.

Arlo the Average

I get all my best sweaters from the local vintage shop

Meghan Strong

Mrs. P is totally correct on soup. It’s best homemade. No debate, just straight fact.🥘

Kari McCormick

1. I love that you enjoyed STL. I live just across the river in Illinois. 2. Loved the live show. Thank you for being so gracious with the photos afterward (I wore my allegedly t-shirt :-) 3. My husband calls grippy socks "speed socks." 4. Not all Midwestern pizza is like this - I promise!

Sly Cooper

Do not associate Indiana pizza with Chicago pizza under the guise of Midwest pizza.

snelly

mrs p you would hate pittsburgh rn bc we have a ferris wheel on a bridge for octoberfest😂😭

Jessipoot

Oh dude. Marion’s?!? Their sausage mushroom and onion pizza is so good. Then apparently Donatos is an ohio thing. That hot honey pizza is great, and the pepperoni pizza is good too.

Jessipoot

Also, Vance does not fit into Middletown. It’s all red necks over there. And by that I mean it’s got half my extended family.

The Mailman

Donatos is good, but plenty of small local joints have amazing pizza

Jessipoot

Oh no I was deceived into thinking Donatos is more local than it is because my nj friend had no clue what it was

The Mailman

I think its a midwest thing, that started in Ohio?

Sleep-Deprived

That rueben sounds worse than some of the monstrosities I've seen on Roll for Sandwich

Janinemania500

Pro tip on finding good food in flyover states: look up what the biggest immigrant population is for that area and search for that type of food.

Tara Legaski

Bring your comedy show to East Providence, RI and get some bakery pizza! Some love it. Others HATE it!!

Blair Oyler

I grew up in KY home of the hot brown and bourbon/mint Julips. Then moved to Fl, the. Moved to NV, and now…… I am in Indianapolis (rural…). My 3rd year here. I seriously had a nervous breakdown because the only thing good here is Corporate chains. And I wanted to stop supporting Starbucks. But I couldn’t. All the sushi here has cream cheese in it. When I lived in NV I lived in Chinatown….. this place is hell. But I have learned to cook. If you are ever trapped here again…. Just stay in Cincinnati….

Stuck in Koala Kanyan

What you've described is not pizza, that's an abomination and I'm offended 😅

Stuck in Koala Kanyan

Last thing, when is Mrs P going to make a YouTube recipe channel??

Robyn DeGraves

Fun fact, part of why the mental health socks are double sided is so that if folks with dementia are putting on their own socks they don’t have to worry if they put them on with the correct side up!

Jaclyn Ott

If you’re in St. Louis again, check out the City Museum. It’s AMAZING!

MeDrawPretty

My wife is from Cleveland. Their pizza should be considered a war crime.

Short_Range_Attack_Chicken

I also hate ferris wheels since I was a kid and I was forced to go on the biggest in NY state (at the time) I am glad I’m not the only one who loathes those damn things! Thanks Mrs P. !

Hellso

I am still traumatized by the first time I had St Louis style pizza. Got to the hotel after a long day of in the car so my mom just ordered Pizza from a place that had a menu in the hotel room…..Imo’s Pizza. We hungrily waited for the pizza to arrive, only to be horrified when we opened the box to the crispiest very well done giant cracker cosplaying as a pizza. I was in 4th grade and I literally cried. People can like it if they want, I’m not hating… I just don’t think it should be called pizza. It’s its own thing and should have its own name to help save fourth graders from the pizza trauma I experience

Kathryn Dirks

Um Ive never seen a place not have sliced corned beef. And I grew up in Minnesota and live in South Dakota. I think Mr. P just went to shitty restaurant(s).

Harper Lee

I live in Arkansas, and St. Louis is only a short 3.5-hour drive away, so I was really bummed that I couldn’t come to your show! I got married and was on my honeymoon during that time (as my husband would say, that was the priority😅). Anyway, I’m glad you liked St. Louis, and I hope you come back this way in the future. I’m also close to Memphis, and I promise you won’t have a bad food experience there!

Lorelana

I am very sorry for the various food crimes you experienced in the Midwest. I promise you can get good pizza and a proper Reuben here!

Mental health socks are top tier socks 🫣

I listened to the free ep, heard the "feedback" regarding Ohio pizza and I joined the pateron to get the full context. I can't speak for Indiana, but I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, and let met tell you: different pizza from traditional East Coast pizza, but it's fantastic. I promise you.

James the Lass (Guldan wears a merkin)

Couple of weeks late, but if you want to rant about pizza from the Midwest, try Imo’s Pizza the next time you’re n the St Louis area. It is very polarizing, lol. Personally, it’s my favorite kind of pizza, but I’m also from St Louis. Everyone who I’ve gotten to try it who wasn’t from St. Louis did not like it as much as I hoped, and several hated it. St Louis style pizza is a cracker thin crust, sweet tomato sauce, and provel cheese. Not provolone, provel: a mixture of smoked white cheddar, Swiss, and provolone cheeses that is only found in St. Louis. https://www.foodandwine.com/provel-cheese-is-a-st-louis-favorite-8717484

i 100% agree the midwest has the worst pizza from someone who grew up in new jersey and moved to michigan

Mrs.PoopFeet

I'm wondering if the inclines would strike the same ick

Rei the Lupanthrope

100%, I grew up south of Youngstown and we had some fantastic pizza.
