Because when they weren’t crusading or raiding, the knights were raiding their own towns and pillaging all of the women. So instead of dealing with this atrocity, the pope sent them to attack other countries.

I want to fight Alex a little bit on the ranking of groups that have lots of kids. Imo, it's Mormons, Baptists, then Catholics. I've seen the Quiverfull families first hand before I got kicked out of the Baptist church at 8. It's intense.

lol new to the Podcast, and I grew up in Alaska as a Russian Orthodox, even though we were colonized by the Russians, the Russian Orthodox missionaries were told to be nice to the indigenous people. We even have a few Alaskan Russian Orthodox Saints. The newest will be St. Olga of Kwethluk (qu-we-luck). Church is a little long especially on the holidays, the Easter one goes from 12am-5am. And I will say our Jesus isn’t white.
