Hello!

I've been working a bit during my vacation (ahem) and with the data collected from the content survey, I've been thinking of this little fun monthly project! I had a lot of fun doing the WanderLust CYOA a few years ago, and since you fine folks wants more Unsheltered (and Wanderlust, working on that too), so... Introducing Fallout Unsheltered: Wasteland, a CYOA type comic!

How it works:

The comic will work as follow: The character will go through events and conversations as they would in older Fallout games, with skill prompts based on character skills and abilities! Skill checks will be decided with a d100 dice and based on SPECIAL stats.

A character with a 9 stat will need to roll 10 and above. 5 and below are critical failures for everyone and 95 and below are critical successes!

If a character has a Charisma stat of 5, the will need to roll a 50 or above to succeed their action; Initiative, which will determine whether or not the character gets surprised or can react first are rolled with a standard d20.

Of course, you decide whether a character attempts a skill check or not, where they go, etc!

Every tiers are eligible to vote!

Now, the most important part: Character Selection

YOU decide which of these will be the main character, and each will have their own story and events; characters that haven't been selected may appear later as recruitable companions, but not everyone will be able to meet and recruit everyone! Of course, I will not give you meta info there. You're flying totally blind! What's more, this choice is permanent so as they say,

Choose wisely! :P

The picked character will have an additional "origin" poll later, giving different looks to their gears. Not telling too much so it doesn't weigh the polling toward one or the other but please know that you'll have some "character customization" options later on!

As dumb as it is, Vault Dweller has the best stats with little to no downside. My inner min-max mind couldn't pick anything else.

Irall

Go Super-Mutant Go!!

TheKite

My fellow min maxing soul screamed when I had to do the other thematic builds xD

Lucama221

BoS Scribe is my favourite girl, but all of them have such good potential

Furrydude19

The brotherhood scribe sounds really interesting the robot companion’s could lead to fun outcomes .

Ssuhlinne

Love the profile of the overly generic male vault dweller!

SylverSnek

Generic Male File is gold XD a real masterpiece of comedy "the artist didn't even bother drawing you" I really love the scribe and the raider girl's skills and attributes No luck scribe might be more fun tho

Silver

Vault girl or super mutant it doesn't matter. I already know they're gonna be a great duo eventually.

Darknezz21

Very split between vault girl and super mutant, but all I know is that wastelander is high tier companion material, I can see her getting vault girl into shenanigans.

Chrissy

I love the raider girls collar, the super-mutant futa weakness and the how the vault girl has to obey certain authority. Whoever wins, I hope they fail a lot. May the super-mutant wander into lots of super-mutant areas, and may the vault girl encounter a futanari horse robot (has to obey, thats the rule!) May the rolls be terrible, lets go!

BNR

Vault Dweller! But I DESPERATELY want one of the others as a buddy sidekick!!! in order of most desired buddy to slightly less: Brotherhood Scribe > Raider Girl > Super Mutant

ZD

Default male is hilarious. I kind of want him to win so we can learn what other wisdom the floating Todd Howard in the sky has for us. Scribe and Raider are also fantastic. It's so hard to choose!

LucentShine

Wow this is a blowout, was gonna go with raider gal but there's no way she's making a comeback. Gonna have to go with vault girl since it seems to be a 50/50 split between her and super mutant

Chrissy

I went raider girl too at first. Then I saw the votes and she was dead last with no chance of winning xD

RedJay

I'm not normally one for low-int playthroughs, but dang do I want to see what that lucky little bluenette Wastelander can get up to.

The Money

Both are so close! Might be neat to have a cameo from the runner up in the series

AngryCosmonaut

A Nightkin Super Mutant would be fun!

TheKite

People will be able to recruit the others as companion, if applicable!

Bunny Waffles

I am sad. I was really hoping we could actually meme the Generic Male Vault Dweller into being the main character. Just for the hilarity of it.

2026-09-07 03:00 Initially I was going to vote Vault Girl, but after reading the "Character Origins" post, I changed to Super Mutant with the hope of Vault Girl becoming the companion. Nuclear Nurse's Army Super Mutant as the "boss" with her submissive Vault Girl sidekick (either Overseer's Assistant or Happiness Manager origin). Their adventures in "conquest" having a sort of "Pinkie and the Brain" vibe but with very sexy results/consequences.

I was already picking the Default Male Dweller, and with the added "respect and fear" there is clearly no other option.

TheKite

Submissive character will never be dominant with their companions unless it's stated in their bio!

TheKite

I can always have him appear in Random Events!

The Blue Bandit

Unfortunate. With the Nuclear Nurse's Army origin talking about the Super Mutant believing herself to being a conqueror but bad at it just made me think along the lines of Invader Zim of someone who thinks they're great but are oblivious to their inadequacies. Then Super Mutant could have meet naive Vault Girl who could be the only one to believe Super Mutant's self hype, mistakenly seeing her as a great authority to follow and aid. This combo would of had a nice setup for misadventures of two oblivious submissive sluts through the wastelands. I wish something like that could work, but oh well.

The Blue Bandit

Wait, so a submissive character can't have another submissive character as a companion? So if Super Mutant wins, then only Wastelander or Neutral can be possible companions since Vault Girl, Brotherhood Scribe, and Raider Girl are all submissive? So only Wastelander or Neutral can get one of the submissive characters as a companion then?

TheKite

Ah, that way, it could happen; what I meant was, a Submissive character won't act as a domme; they may relatively act with more dominance, they're both subs so they will both be treated as such in encounters

Chrissy

Nothing wrong with two submissive characters traveling together, hand in hand, trying to make their way through a dominant wasteland! :)

ThunderMage

There is a typo in the rules “95 and below are critical successes”. Excited for this series for either of our current leaders
