Interestingly ballistic skill and weapon skill modifiers do stack, so the nerf to mortarions shoot back means a barcketed vehicle/monster would have effectively -3 to hit if shooting at something in cover

I will note, some of the Detachments losing Purge made sense, when you realize how much synergy the have with the Purge playstyle. Gate Lance Knights and Coterie ECs are good examples.

The synergy they had was what made them a narrative choice for that disposition. If the theme of the detachment is killy then the disposition of the detachment should be killy. The root problem is that playing purge is just the optimal way to score while preventing your opponent from scoring. If other dispositions were better at scoring than purge and purge was seen as the fun but suboptimal disposition then the game would be in a better place.

Valid Drukhari complaints aside, adding Recon to EoS is kinda huge because we now have our best scoring disposition on a 1 point detachment. I feel less locked to Skysplinter assault than I used to, which is nice. Kabalite Cartel especially is back on the menu without having to play disruption. Hope the week gets better, Eric! Can’t wait till you’re back! Berillio you’re a goddamn hero as always!

One of my fears about the rollout of information for future updates is that when they revealed the new codex for Orks, they described the code as "a passport for all future updates" or something like that. It's possible that you will no longer be able to see the updates for factions without having a codex code for the faction. Then the faction packs might disappear because "well it's all on the app, and you have the code, right?" I hope not, but, you know, GW.

Votann advocate noone asked for. Secure positions (jump out of car) strat timing changed to end of any of your your phases. And you can't bring Berehk back with that one enhancement in the beserk detachment. Carrier went down five points cause GW said dedicated transports have their points lowered. But didn't lower sagitaur. I think cause it has a bigger gun on the back. (Give me T10 back cowards) Iron Master down 5. Berehk and buri down ten. The ignores cover upgrade for sagitaurs is up five points. Nothing burger really. But lower points on epic heroes is kinda cool. The models look neat.
