On this week’s episode, Brad and Eric are joined by Jenny to discuss The Wicked and The Warped by Robert Rath, a Warhammer novel featuring your favorite Necron characters Trazyn and Orikhan. This is gonna be the third best “From Enemies to Lovers” story that I watched recently, right behind Bridgerton Season 2 and Malfoid memes.

Crossbonesz

Loved this book. I hold it as an equal to The Infinite and The Divine, but I know I rarely dislike anything I LOVE Dungeon Crawler Carl!! Damn good book series!! Also outstanding person reading those books!!

Bob of Doom

My favorite quote was when the human was proven right and Orikan said the universe is stupid.

ALittleBitKushy

Just like the book, the episode took way too long to come out but was mostly worth the wait besides a few minor nitpicks

DapperDwarf

Even if it won’t come out on October, in honor of Orktober I volunteer the grotsnik novel by Denny Flowers for the next book club

Jacob Kristos

Idk if id agree that nothing happened in the Khorne layer since that's where the big falling out between Trazyn and Orikan happens. That Orikan is written in this book specifically in a way to make that scene hit the way it does. Very impactful.

TNTmage7

Ah, Jenny has been reading the exact same things I have this month and last month

TNTmage7

I genuinely think the two of them would enjoy the hell out of it. It’s exceptionally well written and goes in a direction I don’t think anyone would expect after the first two books.

Crossbonesz

I agree!! I would love to hear snippets of their reactions in videos here and there

Thonas

"So they're divorced" is a delight of a sentence

Noblese Oblahaj

It's nice that Black Library is branching out into romance

ravstar

There's many comments I want to say to correct or explain the issues brought up during this episode, but I will say this: if you can get your hands on a copy of the annotated edition of The Infinite and The Divine, it explains some things in it's footnotes. Also, Necrons can move their faces. It just takes conscious effort. (Because it's more like reshaping their faces) Trazyn is noted to be weird for doing it all the freaking time.

Ethan

Haven't listened to your review yet but looking forward to it, wondering if anyone else got such a sense of catharsis from this book when Trazyn actually apologized to Orikhan or if it was just me because man I felt that one deeeeeeeeeep down
