It took me a while to figure out that they were talking about packet mix pancakes as I had clearly forgotten they were a thing. I couldn't figure out why they just didn't change the recipe ratios and make them a little fluffier to make picklets for snacking with any left over batter.

I am Jamaican, sometimes when there is a function of some sort (most likely a funeral) soup is always served in a plastic or Styrofoam cup. We do NOT consume it with any sort of utensil and unlike BLeeM's miso it is souprapnel heavy. So in order to get the debris into your mouth, you shake it or use your finger. So Mr. Mo Johnson can "Mo"sey on outta here.

Damn, I really wish they had talked about the episode like even a little bit? The Firesides that delve into plot, character, and player choices add so much value to the show. This was a cute convo but really did a disservice to episode 25. I enjoy these people and their friendship but damn a whole episode just talking about soup and eggs? However, I'm with Brennan, it's acceptable to use your fingers to eat, especially when you are in a supposedly safe space with your loved ones and not in public. Mo's callout was a betrayal and I will not forget it.

I am so surprised by the attack on Brennan's soup eating methodology. Not only is it traditional to drink miso, but even if it wasn't, as long as it's not communal or visually bothersome, you can eat any food any way you like. And while he lost me (only slightly) with the term "soup debris", his rationale about eating with your fingers is spot on. A spongy piece of tofu is not nearly as messy as other items that Americans often eat with their fingers like ribs, wings, or even sliced melon.

A Dutch Baby is kind of like a really big Yorkshire pudding, although I guess that doesn't help if you don't know what that is. It's got the consistency of a pancake, but you make it by pouring batter into a hot cast iron pan and cooking it in the oven, and it turns into like a big pancake bowl.

I have no problem with people drinking soup. However, am I alone in thinking that properly served soup is too hot to drink from the container? If you can drink it, the soup is too cold. A spoon is need to isolate a small amount of soup to be cooled for consumption. Ideally with crackers or whatever your soup accompaniment is.

I agree with you halfway. Soup is best when it's too hot to drink but I get 2-3 spoonfuls before the Soup Demon™️ in my soul takes over and I have to chug boiling liquid. The feeling is similar to how you can only eat popcorn normally for a few minutes before you have to shove handfuls in at a time.

I’m not sure if this will help anyone, but for Mo I have a great pancake recipe that I adjusted for 2 people. I recommend freezing the left overs and toasting them when you want them again. 1 cups (5 ounces) all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon sugar 0.5 teaspoon baking powder 0.25 teaspoon baking soda 0.25 teaspoon salt 1 cups buttermilk 2oz sour cream 1 large egg 2 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in medium bowl. In second medium bowl, whisk buttermilk, sour cream, eggs, and melted butter together. Make well in center of dry ingredients and pour in wet ingredients; gently stir until just combined (batter should remain lumpy with few streaks of flour). Do not overmix. Let batter sit 10 minutes before cooking. Makes about 6 pancakes
