Taylor Moore

Hey everyone! Taylor here. I just wanted to personally say thank you for being here, for helping us make this giant crazy thing, and for a truly wild year. I am extraordinarily grateful for you all, and I hope that comes across in the sweat and the love we pour into the show. We also pour in some other stuff but I'm not gonna type it all out. This is gonna sound like schmaltzy bullshit but I swear on a stack of holy texts (*especially* Dianetics) that it's true: whether it's the cast and I recording the show, or Jared and I sweating it out in post production, every thing we do, every word, every decision, every note, every tiny gritty footstep_gravel_foley.wav, is done with the laser-focused intent of showing you a really good time. That it has worked, even just a little, and that I get to watch you enjoy it, is the greatest Christmas present I could ever receive (except for *a lot* of money, let's be reasonable). And your support of the show, here by the fireside, has changed multiple people's lives. Earlier this year, a very close loved one of mine was diagnosed with a very serious chronic disease, and just this month we lost our health insurance. Without your support of the show, I would have had to leave WBN, quit composing, and find another ...well I don't even want to finish that sentence, it's so bleak to me. Instead, because of your patronage, it's not the disaster it could have been. In fact we're probably gonna be okay (you know, chronic illness notwithstanding), the show goes wonderfully, fantastically on, and I can keep making the music at least 4db too loud (Jk, it's always perfect). Thank you, for loving the show along with us, and for making our creative dreams possible. It seems weird to tell someone to be proud of spending $5 on a patreon, but who's gonna fucking stop me. Be proud, you little demons, be so proud God cowers in his throne. Happy Holidays, and see you next year! <3

I listen to MANY dnd podcasts, and have for years. Crit role, D20, Dungeons and Daddies, Tales From The Stinky Dragon, Rude Tales of Magic. I really, honestly mean it when I say this is the best dnd podcast I've ever heard. And I know that is in no small part thanks to you. Brennan, Lou, Aabria, and Erika's magic is no secret, and I've felt it before. But it combined with yalls trust and belief in each other has to be the secret sauce. I hope to listen to this for a many years to come. Ahoo hoo, and crackle crackle.

SvenTS
>>158911136

We can have just a little pride, as a treat. But, seriously, all love to you folks in turn and best wishes to your family. WBN got me through the worst parts (to date, at least) of my own chronic illness by giving something to look forward to and keep struggling towards. So make sure you feel that pride as well.

Sam A.
>>158911136

We are SO lucky to have you & the whole team working so hard on this beautiful podcast! I hope I get to chip in my five shekels a month for the next hundred months, especially if it means those .wav files are placed right where they ought to be. Taylor, you're amazing on Rude Tales of Magic, Oh These Those Stars of Space, on WBN, and everywhere else I've heard your influence. Keep it up, man, but like... After the holidays. We're all gonna be okay. Probably. I think.

kaguya_yoru

Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, and thank you for giving me something to look forward to every week, especially with the next episode releasing right before my birthday! Much love to the WBN cast and crew! ❤️

Anna Rose

Love you guys!! Thank you all for what u do!! Happy holidays ❤️

Sabbath Schrader

I just binged all of the series, and I MAY enter into a state of withdrawal, but this is completely fine with me. Thank you for creating such a magical place for me to retreat in to.

Brandon Carbaugh

Happy holidays. Rest and enjoy em. Thanks for making a show that kicks ass and that always gives me something to look forward to.

SmileyGuy

Have a good holiday and a safe New Year’s to everybody! Saw Kindling pretzels at the store and loved the art (now my profile pic). Can’t wait for that to me and the Fox hanging out by the fireside when they start shipping!

Erik Koch

Wishing you all an absolutely wonderful holiday, and especially to the young wizard! I hope you all get rest and plenty of time with your loved ones, thank you so much for what you do for us, and the community that you’ve drawn here. You guys are the best, and all of my love to you and yours this winter. 🥶

Abel Strictly

Do we know if the next season is going to have more queer representation? I feel like every character and npc in the world of Umora is either single and heterosexually hooking up or heterosexually married :(

Alec Simkiss

*checks patreon to see if the date somehow changed even though there are no notifications* *sees that it is the same date* *is happy for all the wonderful people involved that they have such a long break* *looks at calendar* *still two weeks* *FUCK* 😭🤧🫡

SmileyGuy
>>160069952

I hope they do apply that representation as they see fit narratively. They haven’t really touched on it for a ton of the characters and there could have been a bunch of unmentioned queer relationships. Perhaps Gallows is getting the Cudgel behind the scenes? Who’s to say…

Cody Zimmer
>>160069952

Huh, I kind of assumed Ame was queer and Ursalon was some form of ace, or at least just not feeling any particular sexuality in the mortal realm. I know Suvi and Ame were very speculative about Ursalon and the he-wolf at the coven meeting hooking up while they were drinking.

Ryan L.

Amazing new extremly happy to hear!!! 😎🎉🤠😁🎉

SmileyGuy
>>160069952

They also raised eyebrows when he offered them the left-behind panties because he omitted explanation of where they really came from. Not to mention the time he had to defend himself about knowing how to use his member when being teased about his performance with Wavebreaker. 😆

Rebeca Hansen

So close, yet so far away Being somewhat late to the party, these last few weeks of waiting for episode 40 have been the first time I have been caught up to all the amazing episodes that have been published (with also realising I NEED to listen to the fireside also, which gave me 2 seasons worth of content and the children's adventures to listen to before starting on season/arc 3). The waiting will most definitely be worth it, and have plans to re-listen to everything once the final episode is released ❤️ Might be late to the party, but I will be dawned if I leave it now that I am finally here😆❤️

Melody Snow

Just me, patiently waiting here on the 7th for an exciting upload :3

MC
>>160069952

Ame is queer, Aabria plays Suvi as vaguely bi (but that might just be character bleed it’s a bit unclear), and (aside from a joke in the first episode) it seems entirely unclear if Ursalon experiences attraction in a way we. We’ve met very few couples, most characters haven’t gotten enough airtime to know much about potential partners or identities. This is a longform story, concluding the first of many chapters, it’s too early to judge the way it plans to handle any questions of theme or rep.

Abel Strictly
>>160069952

@MC has Ame or Erika confirmed such an identity? Or are we just vaguely interpreting? I understand it's a long form story but so far we have had Canon straight romances left and right and 1! Single mention of the wizard Slate having an offscreen wife. If we have time for Soft and Stone, Suvi and Silver, Steel and Sonder, Gamore and the Wolf King, hell even the couple Ame is helping in her opening scene before suvi arrives? If we have time for 5 different straight couples We have time for a single explicitly gay relationship. Full stop. @cody Right. But in the fireside chat Lou (or his guest star if you follow the bit) clarified that it was purely friendship based.

Joey Davila

Well deserved!! Y’all are rocking it!

oToastTv

Cryin in the club rn because I have to wait another week 😭

Blakeley

Just came to say I’m thinking of y’all with all of the fires going on in LA right now. Wishing everyone and their loved ones safety right now. Y’all let us know if you need anything!

Amelia Tedesco

Make sure that you’re prioritizing health and safety for the team! We don’t need content more than we need the continued kinship of /everybody/ at the fireside. Take as much time as is needed, this is an unthinkable situation to face with your community. And, if there is anything we can do to support from our various spaces, we’re here.

ScoutHooligan

Hoping y'all are staying safe and healthy with the fires 💜

dain saint

Sincerely hope all you LA based members of WBN are staying safe with the fires ❤️

Beth Fraser

Hope you, your families, friends & communities are all ok & safe. Horrifying time for LA area. (And, as always, your people come before WBN, so please focus on doing what needs to be done to help one another & stay safe, we’ll wait!)

Alena Rose Solenne

I hope you and your families are safe! Thinking of you! 💜

Lauren

Sending resilience to all LA-based cast, crew, patrons, and beyond ♥️

Alison A Zernik

Hoping that everyone associated with WBN as well as everyone at Dimension 20 & Dropout are staying safe during this disaster in LA. As others have said, if we can help directly, tell us how. And please, when you can, let us know that everyone is ok. Thanks.

DaphneDawn

When do we go to SPACE?? Fly me to the stars baby! Launch date for mission interstellar ego trip? I’m begging by the fireside for an update

manokaber

Hoping you and your loved ones are safe!

Nathan Levine

I hope you and the crew are all okay. LA has been a fucking disaster zone the last week. Even the air was poison across the rest of the county that wasn't on fire. Wearing masks en-masse was not something I was hoping to ever see again. I'm not sure where you live or where you record, so I hope you and your precious people are safe.

DaddyDepresso

Can't wait to wake up to a new episode, Question even still on the 4th rewatch does anybody know what S name means? i think they even kept it secret in the citadel talkback. If you don't know any theories??

OminousOwl

Hope everyone is safe and secure :)

Cody Zimmer

I got such chills during the part about Ursulon's growing purpose! Maybe even a little tear in the corner of my eye. Edit: okay, real tears at speaking on the sacredness and respect part right after. You are beautiful people.
