This was one of my favourite bits from the fireside chat and it’s so satisfying to see it live!! 😆 (also I think that the advice is good but that if you then do actually reflect and WANT to fix things then a grand gesture is a dang good way to intentionally kick that off)

im so cunfusedj by teh book/scrols/smell;open heart that Steels gives 2 Suvs and she had teh curse in there. it may have teh nasty hole in there 2? is it a book that HAS a scol that has a smell of Eurin and some one says its 2 smell like him TO trick if you really feel it and touch funny style then not sure how 5 ' short lil baddie 😂did not see it. i knowe amay loses her memory and if Steels DOES come them im really afraid that could teh war. i think its a block in my head lolol;lolol thanks!!!

My favorite thing is when Brennan or Lou will say something and then Aabria and Erika will telepathically mind link to respond with the exact same energy and insight. Same braincell.

I will join the chorus of those saying that we respectfully would love to see faces more on the talkbacks specifically. not the actually podcast. let me have my imagination there. but for the talkback I really enjoy seeing the facial expressions talking about different plot points.

It makes me So happy how amped Erika AND Aabria both get about the romantic gestures. At first I was like yeah dudes right that's true.....and then I thought about how few romantic/sweet things hetero cis dudes do/did until met the person I married.......it sucked! And it made me not engage with people who loved me I loved back in those ways for years and....that's sad. There days I don't believe in cringe and I lean into telling and showing people I love them

I love all these creators so much, but on this one I really want to push back. Context is so important. I have been in a relationship with big problems and big romantic gestures, and every time I thought "I don't want to say yes but if I say no after that I'm a monster". It was a long time with a lot of pain. Showing love for your partner is amazing, but this mentor had wise words. Is the gesture more for you or your partner? I said this on the main episode too but I'm hopping in here again because I feel really strongly about it.

I also really love that WBN remains a primarily audio media. Sharing these clips from time to time is juicy and fun, but there seems to be decreasing amounts of media that just do audio really well and don't clammer for our eyeball attention.

Yeah, also facial expressions for your friends and then having a snippet approved for the masses is different than the facial expressions made knowing you are being recorded and thousands of people will be watching your face

No offense, but that doesn't make any sense at all and I think maybe you misunderstood what I was talking about. I'm not saying the main show should be video only with a ton of editing and visualizations eating up creative energy...I'm not even saying that should be the case with the firesides. All I'm saying is that it would be nice, as a playing supporter, to have the OPTION of watching the raw video of the unscripted call that they've ALREADY RECORDED. Also most podcasts have a video option for people who want to see it. It just kind of sucks to see this really cool content only to be used to entice new patrons (who might be disappointed to find out there is no video after they subscribe) and not available at all otherwise. Again, I'm not saying to remove the audio only, and I'm not suggesting they invest any additional time or energy in making visuals, just it would be nice to have the option of watching the call for the firesides. I'm not even suggesting it for the main game because I know they put a lot of time and energy into editing those and they'd have to do the same for the video. I don't want that.

Yes, agreed. There’s a difference between sweet romantic gestures in a healthy relationship and romantic gestures as manipulation (e.g. narcissistic lovebombing). I experienced the latter and what I saw in the moment as being a heartfelt attempt at “making things right” later became apparent that it was actually just trying to manipulate me into staying in an exploitative situation that only benefited the other person.

I think Alyssa, another Patron, said it perfectly in a comment above - that facial expressions for your friends is so different than facial expressions for literally thousands of people. I'm sure they record it cause it's easy to do, and then if there is a little visual snippet that they all decide would be fun to share, then they can. But Alyssa nailed it, it's sooooo different to be obliged to share 1.5hrs of video content versus just choosing to do it when it makes them happy ✨ I'll take the latter:)

All I'm doing is making a suggestion. If someone who works for the podcast wants to jump in and say yes or no or why that's great, I look forward to hearing it, even if the answer is no. Conjecture from uninvolved random people isn't really helpful

Haha I think there's a big difference between a grand gesture to try to CONVINCE someone to get back with you or stay with you -- vs. a grand gesture to demonstrate your affection and special care for someone with whom you have a relatively stable relationship. I think the latter is great, but the former... probably not going to end super well. I still love that we got these totally opposite reactions from the crew though 😂
