In high school my friend invented Killer Clue. You use the board and the character pieces, and paper and pencil. No stats but everyone has 20hp and an inventory. It's a battle royale, one player GM'ing, and you narrate yourself going around the house collecting items with which to attack each other/heal yourself and also building booby traps. Some stuff is free, like looking for a knife in the kitchen, other stuff you might have to roll for, like looking for a loaded gun in a desk drawer. If you want to build a bomb, you'd better actually as the player know the recipe. That's the original Killer Clue ruleset, now about 24 years old; our circles were otherwise still playing AD&D (or White Wolf).
