OC Project: Redesigns Part 3 (Patreon)

This week, I spent a little more time refining Catalyna and Kihrae's designs.

Kihrae only saw a couple of very minor tweaks to her face, while Catalyna got a few more adjustments to her outfit to give it a bit more visual interest while still streamlining some bits to make it easier to draw.

I started with Catalyna's design first and when I was done, I couldn't help imagining Kihrae next to her in the above pose, being the devil on Cat's shoulder as she tends to do. I always really enjoy coming up with poses for Kihrae. She's someone who's incapable of sitting still for more than 30 seconds and has such a lively personality compared to the characters I'm used to drawing. Trying to make it come out in her body language is a ton of fun.

After I was done with the two of them, I figured I should practice some expressions. I decided to explore how each of them would look expressing the same two emotions. I think I'll do a few more of these the next time I work on this project.

But for now... it's time to work on the next page of Korra Sandwich!
