UPDATE 03/30/2025: Adjusted the layout of the word bubbles because the flow was bothering me a little. Also the HD files are now up!

Before Arcane Season 2, most fanfics and fan artworks would change the story of controversial works that they didn't like. Game of Thrones, Mass Effect 3, ect. They didn't like the ending so they changed it. Arcane is a different beast entirely. Most of the stories and artwork that I've seen are moments that felt missing. Key one being a Caitlyn and Vi reunion. Since this battle is what all of Arcane was building up to, their reunion would have marked the end of their series long journey and the start of a brand new one. Skipping over all those moments of their reunion, their road to recovery, figuring out what they're going to do together is just criminal. Thank you for making this comic and your other Caitly/Vi work.

Thanks for the kind words and I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my work! As disappointed as I was that we didn’t get a scene like this at the end of S2, I understand why they decided to skip over it. They were working with a limited runtime and felt it was more important to show us Cait and Vi during a moment of peace and looking to the future, instead of dwelling on the past, and I respect their vision. Us fans don’t have to worry about budgets and runtimes, though, so we can go nuts and fill the gaps however we want! As a sidenote, I’ve personally never been into fan works that throw out established canon. I get why people do it. Speculation is fun and stuff like that is a way to cope with a story that didn’t meet one’s personal standards, but I’ve always been way more interested in building on established canon and working with what we were given, even if I wish some parts of the original work were handled better.

I've always said that if I was put in charge of a spinoff series involving Caitlyn and Violet, I would have it open with this reunion at the end of final battle. Not just to fill in this missing moment, but to help act as a transition from a story about Vi and Jinx to a story about Vi and Caitlyn. Because that was the core of Arcane when you boil it all down to the essentials. It was a story about two sisters. Like you, I understand why they did it but I'll be danged if I have to say the series is better without it.
