The Price of Progress: Book One - Page 5 (WIP Update) (Patreon)

Here's the work so far on the next page of the Korra comic!

I've been itching to draw an action scene with Korra for a long time and I'm finally getting to it with this scene. This page has been a HELL of a lot of work, mostly due to the third panel, but with everything I have planned for this scene, I thought it was crucial I have a fairly clear and detailed establishing shot before I get into the scene proper.

To prep for the scene I also had to come up with a bunch of designs for the spirits. My original plan was to create whole new ones, but while looking through the artbooks for inspiration, I realized there were already a few existing spirits that worked well for what I needed in this scene. So, in the end I just created some "dark" versions of spirits that were already in canon. We'll of course see them more up close and personal as this scene goes on.

There's still a lot of work left on this one, so expect the finished page to go up in a few days.
