Only a min or so in so not sure if you cover it later - The sword in the beginning that hes melting down is indeed neds sword, and it is a special material - its the valyrian steel ancestral sword of house stark, they're incredibly rare as they could only be initially forged using dragonfire, so they're literally priceless and only a few houses own one. In this instance he's taking THE sword of house stark that they've had for centuries and is one of the most valuable and important parts of their legacy, melting it down and using it to create two new swords to serve house lannister. Hes killed Ned, butchered catelyn and robb under guest-rights, holding sansa hostage whilst arya has fled, with bran and rickon somewhere in the wilderness. He's pretty much humiliated and killed house stark, and is now pissing on its corpse.
