Last episode when Aemond came running to Alicent about the flying pig thing, she said to him "You will have a dragon one day." and in the background her daughter Helaena says "He'll have to close an eye..." Aegon is already betrothed to Helaena at this point, that's what he was complaining to Aemond about.

Nobody owns a dragon, Aemond claimed Vhagar(Vhagar chose Aemond), just as Laena did. Vhagar was one of the original 3 that came to Westeros with Aegon the Conquerer. There was no taboo broken. Just as Aemond said "then you should have claimed her", to which they all proceeded to attack him for. Just because Aemond kicked their asses by himself doesn't make him the aggressor. He then picked up a rock as a threat which he did not use until being attacked by the knife. he lost an eye because of it and the other children lied. Rhaenyra then suggested Aemond be tortured to reveal where he learned that the boys(that previously bullied him) were bastards, an attack on Alicent. And the king took their side. I would be just as pissed as Alicent.

Ehh. I agree that anyone could have claimed Vhagar. I’m with you there. But being a dick has consequences too. The kids didn’t attack after he said he claimed the dragon, only. They attacked after spitting unreasonable insults at two children who were grieving their dead mother. And then doubling down with threats of death, while also mocking the death of the boys’ father. There’s no rule saying you have to be a good or kind person. But him getting jumped and then losing the eye weren’t scenarios of him being a victim. It was him facing consequences for running his mouth haha. Neither is justified. But saying he did nothing wrong is doing a bit too much.

“He did nothing for the Queen” is a take i’ve rarely heard. Most people are just happy Laenor gets to live the rest of his life the way he wants and Rhaenyra & Daemon can marry 🤔🤷🏾‍♂️

Aemond did nothing wrong. Every single one of them touched him first before he defended himself lmao. He grabbed a rock after he was on the ground getting beat by four people. I'll never understand why people think he's so bad after that scene. Also a dragon isn't a piece of property you inherit. Vhagar accepted him so I don't see the problem.

“Aemond did nothing wrong” is wild. Did he deserve to get beaten for claiming a dragon? No. But words have consequences too. You can’t be abhorrent towards others and then be shocked when they respond 😂 He might have been defending himself after being physically attacked. But to say he is blameless and did nothing wrong is a bridge too far. He deserved the dragon — 100%. But that doesn’t give you clearance to say whatever you want without catching hands.
