concerning alicent's youngest son, nobles would often send their children to ward with a branch of their family elsewhere! partially for safety (so that if there is some incident not the *entire* line of succession is in the same place) but also so that they might be educated in any particular way that's different from what can be offered at home. or sometimes it's just so that they can be raised by close relatives. for example, if you remember, baela was sent to ward with her grandmother rhaenys. theon was also technically ned's ward, though his situation was a little different since he was taken as a hostage. still, common thing to do :)

Rhaenyras husband is dead btw because a dragon cant have two riders. For seasmoke to be able to choose adam leaenor would have actually died

Yes that happened of screen haha he did get away but it is believed that he died in essos. In the books it’s a little different but I won’t spoil that in case you want to read it.

the velaryon’s are also from valyria like the targaryen’s, so it is possible for them to also ride dragons for that reason.
