I think if anything Daemon actually came to quickly respect Oscar Tully here. In their first meeting he was a timid kid with no authority about him, whereas here hes imbued with confidence, manage to gain the support of the river lords in a few short minutes, leveraged his position perfectly to both knock daemon down a peg, gain the trust and respects of the river lords, and also give daemon an out to "rectify" some of his wrongdoings. Daemon sure doesn't like the initial but I can't imagine he's not standing there thinking "now this kid is the real deal". Tully has went from lord paramount in name only with little support, to being a secure, diplomatically savvy and calculating leader in a single scene.

Team Black dragons & riders: Syrax - Rhaenyra Caraxes - Daemon Vermax - Jace Moondancer - Baela Seasmoke - Addam Vermithor - Hugh Silverwing - Ulf Team Green dragons & riders: Sunfyre - Aegon Vhagar - Aemond Dreamfyre - Helaena Tessarion - Daeron Daemon and Rhaenyra's 2 youngest sons Aegon & Viserys both have dragons as well but they are hatchlings. Also, so excited for you guys to dive into season 3! The 5th ep just dropped last night and the whole season has been soooo good so far

Also I think you're gonna absolutely love season 3. While season 2 definitely has some good parts, especially this episode, this season was pretty much the setup and ramp up of the conflict, all five episodes of season 3 at the moment are imo all absolute bangers.
