Really enjoying this reaction! I couldn’t watch earlier in the evening, but it just means I had something to look forward to when my daughter finally got to sleep. It’s honestly not my favorite of her concerts, as I’ve said, but I do think it’s a darn good concert. It’s amazing how all her songs sound better live, at least to me. The concerts I’ve been to…well…they were actually both disappointing. >_>;; The artists just didn’t…sound…as good as they did on CD. And the shows just weren’t very impressive. In fact, up until I started listening to Taylor, I swore off live recordings because I was always irritated by how it made me go like…’were they auto tuned this whole time? Did they not learn breathing techniques for singing while dancing?‘ etc. But Taylor puts her voice front and center even if she’s having a bad day (Reputation was recorded while she had a cold) and she always seems to hold her own. That alone impresses me, y’know? Also, I loved that trick where her mic recorded her so she could harmonize with herself in “Blank Space”. Just a neat thing to see. Although in Speak Now and Reputation and Fearless I think she had already specifically asked the crowd to applaud for the backup singers/dancers and her band by now… Maybe she did but the director of the movie version wanted to focus on the celebrities? I dunno. She doesn’t spotlight them in 1989 the way she does in other concerts, and I’ve always wondered why… Got a bottle of ice water! Time for part two before I fall asleep in my chair, haha.

I am really impressed at this point my friend.. The Live vocals in and of themselves are enough to impress me.. it is not something we see enough of in artists from here anymore.. everyone using strictly tracks and lip syncing is not impressive to me... I have seen many concerts over the years where the singers were sick or struggling with their vocals for one reason or another, but, I am always impressed with Live Vocals..
