Revisiting: The Hunger Games (2012) (Patreon)

WELCOME ONE AND ALL. TO THE FIRST EVER HOUSE OF HUNGER GAMES.

We are PUMPED to be revisiting The Hunger Games in preparation for the newest movie coming out this month. It's been awhile since we've watched the movies, but we did a deep dive not only into the movie, but why this movie was such a phenomenon. Some things we discussed:

• Why was The Hunger Games more successful when compared to all of its peers? (Divergent, Mazerunner, Fifth Wave etc)
• Would we survive the hunger games if we had to fight only kindergartners?
• who ALMOST played Katniss, Peeta, Haymitch etc and would any of them have worked out?
• Battle Royale vs The Hunger Games
• Some major book differences

And obviously a lot more, including us whistling the mockingjay song.

Really hope you all enjoy this episode! Next week we are discussing Catching Fire!
