HAPPY SUNDANCE WEEK

So January has been a snoozefest with new releases, but there was still a bunch of movie news AND we had 6 VMs from the roomies that led to some very fun conversations

- How do you deal with decision paralysis when choosing a movie? (Chris V)

- a movie that isn't a horror movie, but there was a scene that made you jump (Chloe)

- This or That Game- Superhero Edition (Parker)

- List Making and Our Favorite Lists (Logan Lo)

- 2 Mystery Music Voicemails

Let us know your answers to the above and we hope you enjoy the episode!

Just a reminder, Discord Movie Night is tonight at 5:30pm PST for all Film Enthusiasts and above!

- Joe, Claira, Sydney

What are we watching for movie night tonight?

Kai

Georgie is Sheldon’s older brother! The spinoff is about him and his baby mama (Emily Osment) being parents. When he was 17 he met her and lied about his age and she was like 28 but she ends up getting pregnant before finding out his real age! Young Sheldon is a solid show and Georgie is my fave, one of those characters who’s dumb but you know he’s trying and means well

Kai

I don’t have a scene that made me jump in a non-scary movie, but I remember watching Silent Hill: Revelation (that movie sucks so much ass) and the opening sequence is the main girl is running through Silent Hill and it’s like an intense scene and right when she’s about to die, it abruptly cuts to a scene of a poptart popping out of a toaster and that poptart made me shit bricks. Classic “ooooo it was all a dream” shit

Kai

Robert’s Batman makes me think of Spider-Man: Homecoming in the sense that instead of ANOTHER origin story or seeing him fully skilled with his abilities, we see them 6 months later and still kinda gauging what to do and how to do it, if that makes sense

Samantha Enriquez

Joe has been waiting for this moment to do an impression of the green goblin again hahaha

Janou

Claira do you mind commenting the name of the TLOU streamer? I can’t find their channel I’m probably spelling it wrong :(

well see this makes sense because i’m a FOOL and was clearly VERY tired when i talked about this because his name is actually Jettro Jettro!!!! 😭 -Claira

Rachel

I remember in M3gan which isn't really scary, but there's the scene where cady slaps gemma in the test centre place, but because she had scissors in her other hand I immediately thought she'd hit gemma with the scissors - the way I yelled, jumped and covered my eyes was so embarrassing because no one reacted 😂 my friend was like "what's wrong?!" and I just had to say I thought she stabbed her in the face with the scissors hahah

Marquise

Hollywood is too busy giving Chris Pratt every voice role when Joe is right there!

Emily Curnutte

Nickelback and adjacent bands were called “Butt Rock” when I was in high school 😂

Kayla

Are you talking about divorced dad rock

Meant to be listened to while drinking PBR in a laZboy

Interestingly, Sydney your accent has similar pronunciations to some Australian accents as we say "aunt" and some other words the same way I've noticed 😁

matthew karl

Zoe Kravitz actually voiced Catwoman in Lego Batman before The Batman!!

I think it’s a New England thing! I have friends from Massachusetts who use the same vowel sounds as Sydney, very different from how I speak and I’m only a couple states south of there😅

Lex

Hey if y’all want to organize a big roomie meet up in the South later this year… I have a theater we can use! 🤣💃🏻

elmina

a NYC roomie meetup please 🙌🏻
