Hey Roomies!

A quick switch up in this week's schedule. Because the Oscar Nominations will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday early in the AM), I wanted to have this public episode released first!

So please enjoy my conversation with Jonathan (The Film Drunk) about what to expect Tuesday morning and how our power ranking has changed!

Weekly update later with some updates to this week's podcast schedule!

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

From my understanding, the Box Office Cinematic Achievement award was added bc as we all know, theaters took a major hit with Covid, but this past year was like the first year since that tons of people were actually going to the movies, and they wanted to celebrate that and hopefully further encourage people to continue going to the movies

I lowkey hope Saltburn at least gets nominated for something in terms of visuals. I think it’s truly a beautifully shot film. That shot of Jacob Elordi in front of the window and the only light is the sun rays through the window, showing this god-like image that Oliver views him as, one of my favorite shots in a movie in a while

Ideally, even if Melton doesn’t get a nomination, I think May December will open up doors for him bc it really shows his range after Riverdale.
