Merlin being the official ring announcer introducing Hassan omg 😭🔥 And can someone please explain how Hassan was summoned cuz Merlin was talking about it was none other than Fujimaru who called him forth cuz the conditions were right and stuff?

Grand Class Servants are called forth to battle against BEAST class entities. With Tiamat appearing and Fujimaru having a previous link to King Hassan some fate mumbo jumbo and King Hassan appeared. Almost everytime a BEAST appears a Grand Class will too.

Shirou

Alien you will forever be hated for that sub

Basically from the moment Tiamat originally came to the singularity the Counter Force/The World Summoned him as a counter to her. The Grand Assassin the one who can give death to even the Goddesss without a concept of death.

JAlterReignsSupreme

Omg double ep🔥 - King Hassan helped us earlier in the 6th singularity. He stalled Gawain for a long time so the team can get into Camelot. After 6th singularity, he also came here to help us to specifically engrave concept of death to Tiamat - Merlin now is not a servant, this one is the real alive one that has been watching our journey live from Avalon. When 7th singularity started, Gilgamesh summoned him (the alive/present Merlin temporary was turned into a servant form). So when he died at the Gorgon fight, he became alive again and returned to Avalon. So after that ep, bro came here running and rayshifted to help us again. - Counter Force is a defense mechanism that works miraculously in a weird way. Merlin was chosen as grand for countering the mud with his detoxification. King Hassan was chosen as grand assassin for his ability to engrave concept of death. - Beasts are counter force of Gaia(Will of Planet), Grand servants are counter force of Alaya(Will of Humanity). Gaia and Alya are always in conflicts for each other, so they somewhat counter each other. (It’s smth like Human destroys nature, Gaia is pissed and tries to destroy us, Alaya will try to preserve humanity) - King (Alive) Gilgamesh died, used his own corpse as a catalyst to summon his servant (archer) self. Bro carried the whole show, he literally summoned 7 servants to deal with this singularity and even summon himself. *Became a donut from Tiamat’s snipe* “that’s just a mortal wound” he said. - Fujimaru is kinda a hard character to write especially in anime. He is a self-insert character after all, giving him too much personality takes away the ‘self-insert’ role for players. In game, his roles are to command the fight, but in adaptations, it’s extremely hard to show that as the servants can fight on their own unlike Pokémon. - Jaguar was dispatched to fend off ground enemies before Quetz’s sacrifice (Quetz said it in the early episode 18) - Beast is this strong. Mama tanks literally everything from Nps to Nps. Her concept was a hack itself. Without Hassan engraving concept of death, there is no way to defeat her. - Looking forward to FGO gacha, it would be amazing if you add us for friends and review our account Lol. There are so many veterans in the discord. I’m also a new player (just 6-month in) after been reading cutscenes only for years.

Last thing. Altria is a badly spelled english name of Artoria. Merlin used to mentor her before she became a King. Even after, he still acted as mage court during her reign. -Last thing I swear, there are fgo mangas called Turas realta and Mortallis Stella that cover Sing1-7. You may want to read it in case you want to get 100% out of solomon movie.

King Hassan, the original Old Man of the Mountain, the First and Last Hassan, founder of Hashashin aka the Order of Assassins, it is from him that the word Assassin Originates. All leaders of Hashashin after him took on his name to carry on his mission. In the Camelot singularity he is residing alive in the Shrine of Azrael (the Islamic Angel of Death) so that he me execute any Hassan who strays from the path. Every Hassan after him met their end at the end of his blade. He is the only true candidate for the title of Grand Assassin, after all without him Assassins would not exist. He can impose the concept of Death onto immortal beings that lack it, like he did with Tiamat.

So small correction, The Beasts have nothing to do with Gaia, they are The Evil's of Humanity, born from Humanity to destroy Humanity. The only one with a direct connection to Gaia is Primate Murder and that's an exception not the rule.

CrypticBoss
>>147500641

So basically anytime there's a beast, it's losing cuz there'll be a grand servent automatically to take care of it...

CrypticBoss
>>147499760

Every Hassan after him met their end at the end of his blade???? How old is this guy is he immortal?!

Nusutto

Yes thats excalibur with merlin and Altria is Artorias official english name. Most people keep artoria cause it sounds better and theyre used to it.

Nusutto
>>147513971

merlin was the one who taught artoria swordsmanship to begin with

Lex Garrett

Archer Gil and Archer EMIYA are on rate up on FGO right now, just saying...

Just checked and unless I missed something, it looks like his next banner is nearly 2 years away unfortunately. However, while I'm tempting you, new players do get a ticket for a free 5* after finishing the prologue, and there are some pretty nice options you can pick from including Artoria (Saber or Lancer version), Mordred, Enkidu, Karna, Quetz or (the best option) Waver. Sadly gramps isn't on the list as he's limited and it's only exchangeable for permanent or story-locked servants.

This is the first time we saw a Beast, and even with the grand servants it was this hard. Think how much damage she did alone. FGO is truly every story and sequal Nasu ever wanted to make as one huge game. It gets connected to the least known works he made before the nasuverse was even a thing out of nowhere and then people start re-reading every 5 page story he made 20 years ago in hopes it will explain in advance the next crazy thing FGO will throw at us. I kid you not, no one at all thought "brazil" will be connected to Tsukihime and to "that" at the same time. We heard it once in strange fake a few years before, but it didn't mean much. No need to ask what I'm talking about, the moment we'll have Lostbelt anime you'll see.

He is basically death itself. And I’ll add one more bit, Old Man of the Mountain aka the first Hassan aka King Hassan *was* the grand assassin. But he has to ditch the ‘grand’ title in order to fight tiamat fight. So it’s unclear if there’s currently a grand assassin in FGO. But… in probably the most bonkets FGO chapter, at least in power-scaling terms, someone claims the grand assassin title for themselves. And they’re not even the final boss.

Shirou
>>147502569

And last thing. King Hassan was chosen because he's the only one who can qualify for Grand Assassin. Grand is literally his class, although he loses it here after inflicting COD on Tiamat. (Tez only took it as a favor to Gramps and broke some rules)

>>147499760

Just to add, what he did at the beginning of episode 20 was to literally give 'death' to Tiamat so now she can be killed. Tiamat on the ground had two layers of invincibility, one because she is the primordial goddess so she couldn't die (Shiki's mystic eyes also cannot see her death) and the other one because she was the mother of all living beings so we prove her existence. The latter one was defied the moment she dropped into the Underworld, but the first one was yet to be nullified. King Hassan basically gave up his grand as a cost and severed her immortality. So only until then, can Tiamat actually be beaten. You can think of it as: only until then Tiamat as a game boss finally gained a physical health bar. Before that, she didn't have it. So no damage big enough can take her out since she didn't even have a health bar. Yeah the eating part was added by the animation exclusively. He didn't do it in the game. Also, his gaming mechanics is unique. His basic card attacks against enemies have a small chance of instantly killing them. No other servant has that mechanics except him. GRAND ASSASSIN. His Noble Phantasm is called 'Azrael' and you called it correctly, it is basically the Angle of Death. He himself can be said to be neither alive nor dead, but rather something in between.

WOW double episode so epic!! Really loved your reactions and this is truly the finale of Babylonia. Since nobody here mentioned it, I would like to preach a little about Tiamat, our Mama. Apart from all the skills and abilities shown well in the anime, there is another skill which wasn't really mentioned both in the original game and the anime but was demonstrated through the gameplay. It is a skill which is the core of her character and it is called 'Self Seal' at C+++ rank. This is the seal she placed on herself to constrain herself. If you recall, when Mommy first showed up in her small human form a couple of episodes ago, Mash mentioned in one line that she looked constrained. That is the manifestation of this skill. Until the underworld, Tiamat only launched one single attack and that was to snipe Fujimaru. In the game, Tiamat will simply debuff allies and enemies together and not do a single attack. All the Lahmu, all that mud are just passives of her that she can't turn off. After all, she is the mommy of all things, including Uruk. So although she was angry that she was banished, she only wished to return as mother and love us again, which is why she barely even attacked us up until the very last arc. Like how moms will get angry at their children but can never bring themselves to truly punish the kids. That is her conflicting nature and why most players love her so much and refer to her as Mama. That also shows the Beast class is not all evil and hate but rather love for humanity taken to an extreme. So-called 'Evil of humanity is love for humanity' Secondly, this skill in normal times is C rank, which means Tiamat is taking pain equivalent to damaging her 50% health and instantly regenerating. Although she is invincible and immortal, this is damage taken from herself and that would still hurt a great deal. That +++ in the rank means at times, this effect will shoot up to a maximum of 90% instead of 50%. She is basically taking pains from lethal damage from herself every second and regenerating that whilst simply moving towards Uruk and tanking all the attacks in all these episodes. This is the pain she feels hurting her children. The game focused heavily on her conflicting motherly nature. The title screen of her final boss fight is literally called 'Childhoods' End', inspired by the famous sci-fi novel of the same name. Only the original novel is about humans eventually ascending to a higher civilization and leaving planet Earth, and FGO is about humans defeating and saying farewell to Mom.

Yeah I swear to god these grands must have a little group chat cuz they all seem to know each other really well even before coming to Chaldea. Gramp is literally telling Tez to give up guns because he sucks at them and Tez is asking Gramp to repay his favour for covering his shift as an assassin.

CrypticBoss
>>147571160

Damn even tho she doesn't have any concept of death and is invincible, that's still a curse cuz of how she takes damage but regenerates. Actually insanely painful like she's living hell

TheBelieveit1

Put simply, Gramps (Old man of the mountain) at some point merged with the Angel of Death; Azrael, and now has the ability to impose death on anything. Literally. This is how he imposed the concept of death onto Tiamat and severed Ereshkigal's bond to the Goddess Alliance.

Johnathan James Rawls

Fun fact. King Hassan RELENQUISHED/GAVE UP his Grand Title in order to Defeat Tiamat. But interstingly enough he still retains ALL his power from his Grand position due to possessing all forms/powers of the future Old Men of the Mountain. Some 20 or so Noble Phantasms developed after his death were bestowed upon him as a Servant but he only ever uses Azreal due to not ever needing the future abilities of his followers or successors. Gramps is the one YOU DO NOT wanna fuck around and find out with cuz he simply has none to give
