Ciel is absurdly op. She’s got a huge list of achievements I won’t spoil. All you need to know is she’s a human that’s strong enough to be Arcueid’s rival. And according to Nasu Arcueid is one of the strongest beings in the Nasuverse.

Yea the whole thing about the holy church is mostly more explored in the Tsukihime time line than fate. In fate the holy church mostly serves as an overseer to the holy grails. Their jobs is mostly to keep the war concealed to the public, protect the disqualify masters and most importantly eliminate any heretics weather they be mages or any supernatural foes such as dead apostles from possessing the holy grail basically anyone who isn’t chosen to be a participant in the war. But in Tsukihime the reader gets to learn a deeper dive of the holy church inner works. Especially in the remake of Ciel’s route. Hopefully one day you give it a read weather it be the Og or remake of Tsukihime since I doubt it will have an anime or at least until the whole remake is complete.
